just catching up on your thread, omg....what an awful time you have been through...your ex sounds a no 1 numpty.....i would encourage you to not just keep your letters in your computer, but to scan the letter you have sent with your signature and get a receipt for posting it.... you do need to cover your back....do hope it sort itself out real soon. if he stops paying maintenance will you get an increase in working tax credit or anything like that???
just a thought.0 -
Unfortunately not, tax credits don't take maintenace into accountMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

hi bbam....i didn't know that about the tax credits not taking maintenance into account b******r....
that's a hard one for you.....but i am sure with your resourcefulness you will more than cope, but i guess it will take the mental time to re-evaluate your goals etc......0 -
I've had a fab night, not sure I should say too much but involves a mate from uni that found me and sent me an email, who I heavn't seen for years, basically was one of my ex's best mates (not ds's dad, another ex from years ago at uni) ... anyway, he was always one of those ones that got away, and looks like he felt the same about me ... so tonight we've been, ahem, *chatting* online and much fun was had by all
Slight issues being (a) he is married (although not at all happily) and (b) he lives in America now  but he does come over here quite often

If you have a look on the geocaching website at any hidden caches in an area that you are familiar with, have a read of the clues and mesages from other cahcers, you can sometimes work out where they are without GPS. So you could have a go at a few before you decide whether you want to invest in a GPS or not. I got our Garmin off ebay but some smart phones have the facility too?

P.S So sorry BBAM for hijacking your thread!!
Thank you... I have a blackberry and I've found a GPS bit on it, but can't seem to get it to work, will have a look into it. Thank you for that xx"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Morning all, ds and I are having a day out riding buses today
Can't say I'm too thrilled about the thought of it, but he is very excited
Nothing much else to report, I've just signed up for a Blockbuster offer from hotdeals, £1 for 5 weeksHurry up over there if anyone else wants it, its running out fast
Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Home at last, I'm all bussed out
We have been on 6 different bus rides today, am thoroughly sick of buses although ds loved every minute of it and had even worked out the route we would take so we could pick up each bus and end up on the one that brings us home
We did go to M&S Cafe for lunch (£7) and the buses cost me £12 in total  and I also spent £8.50 in Primark (ds needed some more shorts after spilling orange juice all over his, and I got a couple of t-shirts for me too).
He's just gone out with mum for a bit to sort out my birthday card so I have a free hour to relax in peace and quietMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
