Morning all, ds has gone to his dads and I'm just having a ten minute sit down before I crack on with tidying up the mess from yesterday :) One of my pressies was an odd-job man for an hour or two, as I want some pictures putting up, some shelves putting up, my smoke alarm fixing etc, so I need to start thinking about what I want and where. I know its a random present but for me its perfect, I have lived here for over 3 years now and haven't got any pictures up, and it also gives me a chance to think carefully about storage / shelving etc :D

I'm off to mums later this morning but need now to at least get some pressies back to their correct rooms and just the general clutter cleared up.

Oh, and last night I had another chat with new blokey for a couple of hours ;)

BenBen - phone your local fire station - they are brill. They come out (in a fire engine and with their uniforms on :D) and put up new smoke alarm(s) all free of charge, and the alarms don't need new batteries etc for ten years. :T

Brilliant service and much better than the shop brought ones!

Evening ... its been a strange day today, lovely seeing the family, sad as well though as I really missed ds loads today, it makes me sad that he always misses seeing all his cousins together :( Sad too seeing dad today, he's spent the whole day hunched over in his chair. staring at the floor in his own little world :o if you ask him a question he'll occasionally answer but mainly not, hardly uttered a sound all day ...

Then, my car decided not to start when we left mums house. Its an automatic so we couldn't bumpstart it, so have managed to move it up her drive and will try to get hold of a friend other half tomorrow who is a mechanic  Am really hoping its nothing too serious ....

DFF my smoke alarm is a built in one linked to the mains, but am not sure its working properly, I may contact the fire station though, I presume they'd still cme and have a look at it??

Chev, umm I'm afraid there wasn't a technical recipe as such .... one shop bought pack of pastry, one pack of sausagemeat, mix the sausage with some chopped onion, chestnuts and a squirt of garlic paste, put it in the middle of the pastry and fold over, then put beaten egg on the top. I ought to learn to make it all from scratch but hey, its a start :D

Morning, I managed a lie-in until 9.30 this morning, then had a bath and am now counting down til ds gets back. I'm really bad this time, normally I miss him but not like this, I think its because of everything thats going on is coming to a head now and I just want him home :o:o Just under 4 hours to go :)

Not only am I without a car but I've also left my purse at mums, so no online shopping for me today, which is probably a good thing actually ;)

Yesterday I spent £2 on some cheese mum needed me to pick up on the way to hers, only to have found the cheese she had already bought by the time I got there. Other than that its been 2 no spend days, well, actually no, I did spend £9 on m&s sale stuff online yesterday morning, but the order isn't official until they take the money from your account, and knowing what the last couple of years sales have been like theres a good chance I won't actually get the stuff (a jumper for ds, 3 school shirts for ds and some tweezers with a light built in for my sil birthday in January).

So, I should really be making the most of ds not being here and getting on with housework, but I just can't settle on anything at the moment. Oh, and the home phone has packed up too, no idea why, have changed the batteries but its not working, its been rubbish, I only bought it about a year ago and its BT one and has been pants all the time. I think some of my nans money will be going on a new phone for home and the car

    Aaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ds is home and the first thing he said when he came in was tht daddy went to work last night (is doing nightshifts for a supermarket) and ds had to stay the night with his girlfriend. Ds wanted to ring me as he didn't want to stay without daddy there but he said no he couldn't call me     I am sooooooo angry, how dare he !!!! I haven't called him yet as theres nothing I can really do about it, but I hate ds being away from home anyway, without worrying that he wants to come home and isn't allowed to speak to me    I really really hate him :(:(
