Good result with the tree... my tree is up for the 4th year running and I still love it!! Real trees are nice but think of the mess and disposal of it...:p was it you who took ages to get rid of it one year? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Plus we'll be making holly wreaths on the 22nd so can have that for the smell etc.

Yep, it was me Tigz, it was my 'ugly' tree that was reduced for being ugly

I loved that tree
Yours is lovely, I remember when we came to yours, it looked fab! I do prefer real ones still, but this is much tidier

I'd love a real tree as they smell lovely and I remember my Nan always having one, but I can't justify buying one when I have one already
maybe one year.....
I know it's silly but I get kinda sad that trees are cut just for a couple of weeks and then discarded.... just like Phoebe from friends.... :rotfl::rotfl:"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Great result on the tree and lights...I need new lights, I normally overload the tree with lights but 3 sets died on me when I tried them the other day....I've made do with just 2 sets for now but will get some reduced ones to put away for next year.
I love the smell of a real tree too but with 2 cats and a parrot it wouldn't last 5 minutes. My artifical one cost me £100, 10 years ago, still looks as lovely as the day it came out of the box and I'm hoping I never have to buy another one.....very MSE :T"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. I am waiting until I have moved to put my tree up.....then will decide on whether a new artificial one or a real one will best suit.

The tree talk pulled me in

Our tree came from Woolies over 10yrs ago when we first moved in together. It cost under £10 and is still going strong. I think artifical trees are far more MSE as long as you keep them in storage and reuse them.
We couldn't afford much so got the cheapest tree and some cheap baubles but it is amazing what a bit of tinsel will do and when you add lights etc all trees are beautiful
