Morning everyone :) Today is an indoor day waiting for the Asda delivery to arrive. I'm actually quite looking forward to an indoor day, I'm farirly up-to-date with stuff at the moment so I am hoping it will be fairly relaxing but also give me time to get some bits and pieces sorted.

I have already made the beds, filled the dishwasher, tidied the kitchen and done breakfast. My room, the bathroom and the kitchen just need a clean and hoover, the lougne needs a bit of a tidy from where we did the xmas stuff yesterday, and ds bedroom needs quite an effort on it :o:o

Other than that it will be baths for both of us, finishing writing christmas cards, finishing off putting up the decs and the ironing. I like having a couple of snow days at the beginning of December, its given me time to catch up with things before it gets too hectic :D

Well done on the slot for Asda. Nice one. Is the snow melting then? We are just being warned that we are heading for drought conditions already. Even though it felt like we had a miserable winter here (i could have sworn it rained every day) it was apparently pretty dry!!!! So send some of the melt water this way

I think most of the country still has snow, but ours disappeared overnight on friday :o Its not really a surprise, being so close to the coast we hardly ever get decent snow, so am very grateful to have had any at all :D

The weather here is wierd, the sun is out now and its so warm indoors that I've turned all the heating off and opened windows in all rooms to get some fresh air in. Amazing considering how cold it has been this week.

Ds has helped with the cleaning, and now the lounge is clean and tidy, although therre are still several piles of bits to be sorted and put away. The same for his bedroom. I've also gutted the bathroom cabinets and chucked a load of half-used bottles that have been there and never get touched, at least erverything thats left in there will get used up. The airing cupboard is still organised and tidy. I want to try to write myself my own kinda flylady plan ready for the new year. If I can keep the cupboards tody and organised then everything has a place and it should stay tidier (in theory ;)). I feel so much better when everywhere is tody and clean that I don't know why I don't make a bigger effort to keep it done :o

I've just done an electricity meter reading (am trying to do one a month now) and since November 11th I have used £54 of electric (don't have gas). I pay £45 a month and am still in credit by £95 so am not too worried but will watch the usage over the winter. As it is nice now it has all gone off again, will see how long that lasts for ;)

Ds and I have also just counted out his money boxes, he has one for saving and one for spending and splits any money he gets between them. Tbh, he rarely takes anything out of the spend one and was happy enough to bank what he could of it. In total he managed to bag up £21  and I had an old piggy bank for odd coins and I bagged up £6 from mine and chucked the remainder into his paggybank to start him off again :D So we will be off to the bank this week to pay in his pennies, he's dead excited ;) My £6 will be added to this months allowed money. I want to start thinking seriously about next years financial aims, normally at this point I'm really excited about it but this year its proving harder to get to that point

That is exactly how I feel - I love the house being tidy and organised but I do find I don't keep on top of it enough:o I'm having an at-home day today though as as my darn letting agents are doing one of their all-too-frequent checks tomorrow, I'm having a good old tidy up. Good timing actually...will get me neatened up for Xmas. Am still in my PJs but am making progress, still lots to do;)
I looked at Flylady beofre but I just wouldn't keep up with it, so I thought about having my own little mini Flylady plan too - but it's on the pc saved somewhere and I never looked at it:rotfl::rotfl:

Ironing is done and put away, still waiting for the Asda delivery to arrive, meant to be between 10-6pm, am guessing it will be between 5-6pm :o

This afternoon I have been umming and aahing yet again about my tesco vouchers; finally I have decided to abandon the holiday idea. I have a total of £185.50 of vouchers, which is £742 worth when they're x4 value. I think I've settled on getting Merlin annual passes for me and ds (£40 each), and then we can do days out in all the holidays with just petrol to pay for (and packed lunches :)). Ds absolutely loves legoland, not so sure about thorpe park and chessington as I'm not keen on rides :o, it does include Madame Tussauds and the London Eye too although not in August, I don't think we'd bother with Alton Towers as its too far away, but we would probably use the Sea Life bit in Weymouth too.

With some of the others I may use them for Blockbusters tokens so we can hire games, maybe some restuarant vouchers, although we don't really go to many of the ones on there, possibly some itunes vouchers next week once they start and possibly a magazine subscription.

It also means that I have the £200 I had been saving for the holiday, I may use that for sales bargains or may use it towards petrol etc for when we have the days out. Hopefully this way I won't have to find huge amounts of money once the holidays roll tound again :D

Clubcard shoppuing is done; 2 x merlin annual passes, 12 x games rentals from blockbusters, 2 tickets to a local theme park and £40 worth of vouchers for pizza express ... and I still have £76.50 of vouchers left over :j :j

I also spoke to one of my friends from school who is a single mum too and has a 10 year old son and they have just renewed their annual passes too, so we'll have someone to go with and to share the petrol costs with ;) :T Happy happy happy right now :D Now if only the Asda delivery man would hurry up then everything would be peachy ;)

I'm so glad you mentioned the itunes vouchers - I'd forgotten they were starting them. Just checked and £12.50 of vouchers will buy a £25 gift card...brilliant! Think they start tomorrow - thanks for reminding me!
