E-on Save Online v2 Discounts Question

Any news on this yet ?0

To further muddy the waters, the E-on call centre said the discount is applied on quarterly billing but does *not* apply to the final bill if you switch away. However the guy on the phone didn't seem very sure. He asked the person next to him.
The number I called for E-on was 0800 051 0760 if anyone else would like to have a go and see what answer you get.0 -
Really sorry for the delay replying guys; working through my backlog now.
If I might just clarify a couple of points raised here.
bonzer/deano - On Saveonline 2, there is no cancellation fee and you don't have to stay a year to receive any discount. Discount is awarded on each quarterly bill.
However, as Pincher says, we will not give discount on the final bill if you change supplier before the contract ends on 31 August 2011.
You will, though, receive the entire discount if you remain on Saveonline 2 until the end date and then change supplier after that, even if the final bill covers part of the Saveonline 2 section. Here, the only part you will lose is for the period between the Saveonline 2 end date and the date the account actually closes.
advantix - As above, the Saveonline 2 discount will only be given if the customer completes the contract. If they switch supplier before the end date, they will lose the discount on the final bill.
Hope this clears things up and sorry again for the late response.

Does this mean that I can arrange a switch to another supplier before the 31st Aug 2011, knowing that it will take about 4 to 6 weeks for the transfer to take effect? For example, I sign up with another provider on 31st July, but the switch doesn't take effect until, say 5th September, will this mean that I don't lose the discount for my final bill?0 -
Hi c_smith
In the scenario you describe, the contract will have been completed as per the terms of the agreement.
Therefore, the full amount of discount will be awarded up to 31 August 2011 even if this falls within a final bill.
The only discount lost will be for the period between 1-5 September 2011 when the account will have been put on to another tariff as Saveonline 2 will have ended.
Hope this is clear c_smith. Give me a shout if you need any more details as will be happy to help.

I was supposed to go onto save online v3 when I switched but was put onto save online v2 by mistake. Save online v3 came out cheapest when I did a comparison online but I have been told it is better and cheaper to stay on save online v2 also v2 gives clubcard points and v3 doesn't is this true ?
Could you please confirm this is the case for me ? As I have been told I can be put on v3 and be backdated.
To add further I don't even know what consumption levels they used to tell em this as I have just moved into the property and have no usage history for them to work this out.
Many Thanks in Advance !0 -
RajaStyle Stay on saveol2 cheaper than saveol3 if you quote yourself on a comparison site being an eon saveol2 cust, not by alot to be fair but v3 is dearer than v20
-
Save online v2 is marginally cheaper, only about a tenner in it for the year!! But you get the tesco points and no contract cancellation fee on save online v2 so i'd stay on that one over 3. However i'm on fixonline v8 which whoops both of them0

Thanks Maddi ... so any chance you can get me on fixonline v8 then ?0 -
Hi RajaStyle
Prices vary regionally and it will depend on where you live as to which version of Saveonline will be best for you. Also, there are differences between single rate and two rate Economy7 tariffs.
Give us a call and we can check out your particular circumstances. Alternatively, drop an email to the address in my Profile if you prefer. I'll be happy to advise.
For a much fuller picture, I would pop your details on to one of the comparison sites. This will give details of all the tariffs currently available both with us and the other suppliers.
As Maddi says, Tesco Clubcard points are available with Saveonline 2 but not with version 3.
Hope this helps.
