yes they do supply jars of baby food - last time I used them it was Hipp Organic brand. They also have paper dishes (and sppons I think) & supply a microwave to heat your bottle & food.

Trust me, you won't be disappointed! We love the place. I have a midweek break booked for November (seeing Santa!) & again in April 2011. Can't wait! But if you do like it & want to go back its worth booking up to 18 months inadvance......& you get the cheapest price available.

    Have fun!

We went to whinfell a couple of weks ago and the restaurants had signs saying to ask the staff about free baby food. We didn't need it though so I didn't ask.
The customer services are really good, I'd give them a quick call to be sure; we had a couple of swimming related questions before we went and they were happy to help.

What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
Why not give us a call on 08448 267 723. Our friendly staff will be delighted to help and we are open 7 days a week (Mon-Fri 8.30am-10.00pm, Weekends and Bank Holidays 9.00am-9.00pm).

Sorry, I've no idea how I missed those answers, h well I'll leave the info. it's good for any questions.

Just skimmed through this thread. I'm just astonished that anyone pays these ridiculous prices:eek: for what is really a glorified butlins!
I've been once, but £700 for a weekend in August. You've got to be kidding
  • its all down to personal choice!! we go 2 to 3 times a year and love it .. but always look out for reasonable weekend / weekdays prices!! were going end of sept for mon - fri which costs £520 for 8 adults plus 1 18month old & this is for the executive lodge so very reasonable price i personally think!! i peronally feel its all worth it!

The most we've ever paid is £550 and that was for 8 of us in June, lol, we usually pay between £235 - £400 for a midweek break which is ok, i'd never pay the huge weekend prices, I think they are ridiculous, we bought Merlin annual passes for less than half the price of a weekend break at centreparcs at a not very nice time of year, I know what i'd rather have and I love centreparcs, but as long as people will spend that amount of money they have no incentive to lower prices.

We have to go at the weekends or not at all - I cant take the kids out of school and we run a business which we cant just take time off from.

But I agree if people keep paying it then they have no reason to lower the prices.

We do take the kids out (not in exam years etc or near important times), we'd never go anywhere otherwise. Hope you bag a bargain soon!

We go on our family holiday in October, so already take them out for a week then. DD starts secondary school in September and apparantly they do not allow us to take them out of school at all, so I am not sure what will happen in October this year as it is already booked!

    I've figured out Centre Parcs pricing and it's really very simple;

Base price - mid week in termtime (£200)
For weekend in term time - take mid week and times by 2. (£400)
For mid week or weekend in school holidays, take termtime mid week and times by 2. (£800)

Simples! Haven't been much since the kids got to school age :D

I have been a center parcs regular for a number of years now but have more or less decided not to go back. There is no way it is worth the money particularly at peak times.

Yes the swimming pool is good but the basic accomodation is not good. At sherwood forest in particular the comfort accomodation is verging on shabby- old dated and looks from the outside like a portacabin. Also, yes i know its a forest but I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the patio area to be swept. On various visits in different accomodation styles the patio is never clean, granted its leaves and 'nature' stuff but I do not want my small children playing next to swan/duck poo - for the money I have paid I expect a nice pleasant area to sit.

the restarants are ok, but you get standard mass catering style food (the same as you would in any mid priced chain (think ask, bella pasta, cafe rouge). A meal out for four will leave you with little change from £50 and with the feeling you could have rustled up the same for a tenth of the price.

None of the kids stuff is included - £7.50 for my toddler to learn fencing - which involved giving him a foam sword and letting him hit his brother - you are having a laugh - he does that a home for free!

The worst thing though is the stunned silence if you dare complain about anything, or good forbid suggest that you are not enjoying your 'leisure' time. 'this is center parcs, it cost us a fortune and we are going to enjoy it. The accomodation is not shabby, its RUSTIC'. That wasn't just any overpriced burger and chips, it was locally sourced frozen french fries.
