Thanks - we can only go for a weekend though as we are limited for time (we have a business and are choc-a-bloc over summer time) - might be worth considering that later in the year though...0 -
What do you get for your money?
I am looking at a mid-week break in September for £499... We are wanting to take our will be then 11 month old there and are wondering if we are spending too much...
Can anyone advise what exactly makes it worth spending the extra?
Thanks
Mad

My children are 11 and 7 and we like:
- Indoor pool with slides (free)
- Luxury accomodation (dishwasher, proper oven, power showers, clean modern rooms, comfy beds, private, nice place to sit out on the patio)
- No chavs (sorry chavs:o)
- Nice restaraunts
- Lots to do whatever the weather (but can cost money)
- Beautiful surroundings - nice walks
There is lots more that I cant think of right now, I dont like spending the money, but we always have a brilliant time when we are there...0 -
Only swimming is included as an extra. We have been to both Sherwood and Whinfell and I think Sherwood has better pool facilities for younger kids/non swimmers but Whinfell is better for older ones. There is a lot of wildife. I have only ever seen red squirrels at CP whinfell, so my 2 will take their cameras and go getting some photos. They also play at the parks (no charge). If you take your bikes, then cycling is a free activity and walks thru the woods. The meals can be expensive. It is very relaxing. We first took my dd when she was about 15 months and she went in the pool for a bit then that tired her out, so she used to go in one of the cots they have in the swimming area (very handy) and then she had a nap.madwoman85 wrote: »What do you get for your money?

I have now booked - £534 with my lodge picked, yes a bit pricey but so what, I only go on holiday once a year!

And I am really excited! :T
Just one final question though... I have been told that some of the restaurants offer free baby food jars, is this correct?
Thanks
Mad

Park always seems full in school holidays, yet still peaceful back at your woodland lodge.
CP price is high for a reason.
It is quite noticeable in the huge pool the lack of body tattoo's on show! ;-)0 -

Off hand I don't know. My DD was turned 1 when we first went and it's not something I've noticed since. My suggestion is to look thru the menus of their restaurants.madwoman85 wrote: »Sorry just wanted to bump this questionn
