    O2 - BHO: profitmuse - {2dfab3bd-ae70-832b-6ce0-b33f29a92284} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\1703f4.dll

    Probably best to remove it.

Have you run a Quick Scan with Malwarebytes' AntiMalware? Download, install, update and run a Quick Scan.

O23 - Service: Remote Packet Capture Protocol v.0 (experimental) (rpcapd) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\WinPcap\rpcapd.exe (file missing)

this was the only other thing in the HJT log that I'd remove, rest looks ok :)

    Hi Gunjack,
First of all thanks for taking time to view my thread, yes the winsock reset came back with confirmation that it had worked but when I input the int ip command nothing happened,it just returned to the command line with no confirmation or result, hope that makes sense.
Everything seems to be running much better although a little slow on start up,i will remove the 2 programmes as suggested from the hi-jak this log,any other advice.
Both myself and my daughter have dell inspiron laptops with 1 gb ram,1.73 ghz processor, the only difference being that i run vista whilst she is still on windows xp sp3 but my laptop runs up in about half the time it takes for hers to get to the same point of being able to view the desktop.

I think you've had two posts suggesting malware scans...perhaps you can get on with that and post any resulting logs.

    Hi Donnie,
Sorry must have missed that bit of advice whilst trying to sort everything else out so I've done a quick scan with malware-bytes.

Can you update Malwarebytes as instructed. First the program will be updated and then go to update again for the malware definitions to be updated. Then run the Quick Scan again.
Did you download from the link in my post?

You didn't update the Database. :) Click on the Update tab in order to do so...and then run another Quick Scan.

You can also run services.msc and change the wireless entries listed within the Hijack This log to Manual. See if that help with any wireless connection problems.
