advice needed , my pc has been taken over

    Its WAY out of date

    Have you tried updating? (I cant be bothered going through the whole thread)

    If not then thats whats needed (probably a few times, itll update the actual program then itll update the database)

    Then run another FULL scan

    Malwarebytes is currently on 1.6 (yours is 1.3) and database version 4315 (Yours is 3506 something)

    have updated , and performing quick scan , will keep updating the malwarebytes if it will do it

    this may sound stupid to you , but it didnt occur to me that it may need updating , it may be as simple as that to sort this , fingers crossed

    I've just had this 'antivir solutions' fake virus checker too, dunno where it came from but DD's friends have been using it on kids flash game sites so it's probably come from one of them. They are now banned.

    Anyway, after a safe mode virus scan didn't pick up anything I did a system restore from the last point 3 days ago which seems to have got rid of it.
    Out on blue six..
    It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.

    Dog ~ please dont run a system restore. This can sometimes make things worse and its better to look at ALL the options before doing so

    just aborted the scan and got another update
    now says i have the latest version , so performing a full scan
    will take a few hours

    thanks for the advice , hope it finds something this time

    8 mins have elapsed and it has found 7 items infected .................. think its going to kill it..............

    Dont base everything on malwarebytes. Post the FULL log once its run (Make sure youve TICKED and REMOVED everything 1st)
