Any advice would be helpful. I owed 3 £36 at the same time as i moved house and changed networks so didn't receive the correspondence from 3. Recently I was away for a couple of weeks and came back to 2 letters from pdcs, the first saying I owed £36 to 3 the second saying I owed £121 because I didn't pay the £36 within 7 days of their first letter. I paid the £36 straight away to 3. I have now got another letter saying that 3 have been in contact with them to say I have settled my account but I still owe them £85. Do I have to pay this for their letters?0

In short, No you don't.
It's an unenforceable charge, that they won't chase for very long, and won't appear on your credit file.

Thank you very much for your reply. Would you be able to direct me to some information or a possible reply template I could use. The house I live in is my partners house and so I'm worried about bad credit being associated with their address which has made me nervous about ignoring their correspondence. Thanks again.0 -

Bad credit is not associated with a particular address, or anything else other than the named person.
You can just write to them, if you insist, I would just ignore them, but if you must reply to these people, just tell them there £85 charge is a joke and your not paying it, as it's unreasonable and totally out of proportion to the original debt, simple as that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi,
Today I came home to find a letter from these people. It claims that I owe £1507.37 to HM Revenue and customs regarding tax credits.
I did receive tax credits about five years ago, but I am not aware that I was overpaid, and I have never been contacted by HMRC.
I am not prepared to enter into correspondence with these people as I have heard so many horror stories.
Any advice please

Hi,
Well first step would be HMRC to see what they have to say about it.
Then take it from there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi, I got a letter from them today saying I owe £2,000 in tax credits?
Not received tax credits since 2007 and had no letters from HMRC?
Will not be replying.0 -
Received several texts from these slimeballs over the past few days. Mine is relating to when I changed energy supplier from sp to EDF in April last year. Dutifully paid my final bill to Sp and I thought that was that. However, come January this year started getting calls from SP saying I owe them £201. Having told them that I had paid my final bill they stated "we acknowledge that but this is another final bill".
Seriously
Having tried to explain to the cretin on the phone what the word final actually meant to no avail. I have had no other contact until these monkeys from pdcs.
Needless to say they ate getting ignored until written details of debt are received. Then let the games begin. I work for the cab, oh boy have they have chosen the wrong person to start this c**p with.
I'm going to send it up the cab food chain.0 -
Npower Northern Limited (wrongly) engaged this company to collect a "debt" that arose because, after an energy account was closed in May 2015, it sent a series of "final" bills all of which used incorrect readings, incorrect tariffs, or both - in fact, there was no balance owing whatsoever. I had warned Npower of the consequences if they did this, so I commenced County Court proceedings against Npower for damages under Section 13 Data Protection Act 1998.
After receiving the first demand for payment of the "outstanding amount" plus "administration fee", I wrote to the company outlining the full facts and advising it that a County Court claim for damages was already proceeding, and on the same day telephoned them - yes, I recorded the call! - explaining exactly the same thing, just to make sure that there could be no mistake.
It was no surprise that, some weeks later, another demand for payment arrived, and so I served a statutory Notice under Section 10 DPA 1998 on Past Due Credit Solutions Limited, which gave them 21 days to stop processing my personal data, as well as a "letter before proceedings" advising that I now had a claim against the company under Section 13 of the same Act. They didn't respond, and therefore I have now applied to Dumbarton Sheriff Court for a summons, naming the company as the Defender (which is what the defendant is called in proceedings in Scottish Courts) to pursue an Order under Section 10 requiring the company to cease processing my data, an Order under Section 14 requiring them to delete it, and a claim for damages under Section 13 for their failure to process my data lawfully in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Act.
I will post the result of these proceedings on here once they have concluded.0 -
I have received a letter from them today in regards to an overdue amount of tax credits, i did have a overdue amount many years ago and set up a payment amount but then the last thing i heard the were deducting it from my future award. Will have to look through my paperwork for it.
