Now, whilst everyone is entitled to break whatever fashion rules they see fit to do, I am dumbfounded at the pitiful trash that's being punted out at a captive market on the high street.

Why would a lady buying a size 26 T shirt EVER want one with a print of some emaciated bint on the front?

Such as this grey one

or this grey one

or this grey one

or this grey one

or this greyish white (I saw it in the shop - it's not 'ivory') one

Moreover, why are they all bl**dy grey, the colour of a manky tracksuit?

And the alternatives?

Stripes

Stripes

Stripes

Stripes

[STRIKE]Stripes[/STRIKE] Oh stuff it, you get the idea - there's another 8 striped tops, all equally unflattering.

Actually, there are even striped tops with skinny women printed on them...

The alternatives seem to be manky tops of such a cheap T-shirt fabric I would expect them to be used for dishrags, particularly as the colours are all very cold and draining - puce and acidic apricot seem to spring to mind when trying to describe them.

Obviously, losing weight would solve the problem of being stuck buying the least offensive of this rubbish, but in the meantime, why can't Evans see that not everyone wants to dress like a 1980s tart?

ETA: I'm actually a 20-22 on top, but I'm using the 26 as an example for my temper tantrum!

I must admit, I do like that fact that Evans stuff fits me! but their styles are very bad,.. all t-shirts and tops are wayyyy too long. I'm an 18/20 and I'd love some of the stuff if it wasn't so long - makes your bum look massive I reckon.

I did get some great boardshorts in there this year though.. £35 which was pricey, but they were gorgeous! Should have taken them back because within a week the belt loops had broken, and the button had come off (attached by a thin thread). I can tell you now that they were baggy on me too, so it's not like they were too small.. and I didn't even wear a belt with them, so why the belt loops detatched I'm not sure..
    9/70lbs to lose :)

The quality of Evans clothing/shoes is absolutely rubbish, and the designs seem to have gotten worse an worse over the last few years whilst the price remains stupidly high. It's a real shame as I use to buy a lot of stuff from them, but have given up. Even if I find something I like, the quality is so bad it's a false economy :(

Just because the women depicted on the t-shirts are not 'larger' ladies does not mean they are emaciated or skinny (or indeed bints!), do you think Evans customers would be more likely to buy them if the women looked more like themselves?

Well, I'm not buying them. And judging by the numbers left in the shop, not many other people are either.

Jo-jo, I totally agree, I'm a plus size lady, and when I look at half the clothes in Evans, I almost think they've found a designer and just said right we're do that range in size 16+....... while its on a size 10 model.

Not just the t-shirts, but when they have demin mini-skirts in, who would want to see someone who is a size 32, wearing a mini skirt - who may have brought it becoz it was in my size,

Really think Evans need to take a good hard look. x

I bought a t-shirt at Evans online in April and it was grey, and had a print of a skinny woman on it, but it was designed by PunkyFish and it was really funky - I wore it to a special night and when I look back at the pics it looks really good. (Im actually wearing it in my avatar pic but you cant really see it) I also bought a really funky grey vest top with chains on it from there the other month - thats really nice as well. However both were very expensive - £28 and £23 respectively! Its very hit and miss with Evans - I prefer New Look.

Their sizing is strange as well - i bought two pairs of utility-style jeans in the sale in my usual size (26) and they're massive (luckily they're the type that are supposed to be baggy) but in their normal jeans a 24 is tight and a 26 doesnt hang properly. Plus they're also massively overpriced! By contrast New Look have some absolutely beautiful pieces in at the minute (as my bank balance will testify - ouch) and the prices arent too bad.
