I just got the same phone with orange yesterday! So any hints or tips on good aps would go down a treat here. lol
I cant say how much I'm loving it without understating, the swype text is brilliant and the ebooks are enough to keep me busy for months. Good God, I sound like an advert. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -

Yes its an app you download, you need to get it from android market, then download the fast web installer, set them up on your phone then you can browse, download and install apps direct from the appbrain website, Ive found it alot easier to browse and manage apps from the website rather than on my phone0 -
Thanks Snakeeyes that's great. I'll do that.
Thanks for the tip, much appreciated."I am not young enough to know everything." Oscar Wilde0 -
If you've got Barcode Scanner, you can scan the Q-codes from the PC with your phone and it takes you straight to the download.0

i've used the iphone 4 and it feels like a brick compared to the galaxy.
The galaxy screen is large and vibrant, fastest phone on the market in benchmarks (run quadrant standard app after applying the lagfix) and its light with a good battery life.
I'd highly reccomend it!
Saving £25 a month on virgin broadband too - using the wireless tethering to get online on home pc.0 -
Agree on the qr scanner - I use the ZXing barcode scanner, works great.0

You need to be careful about using the tethering as some networks sopecifically exclude tethering data from your inclusive allowance. You could end up with a huge data bill...0 -
I'm pretty sure that teathering is not allowed on any tariff unless you have a specific teathering plan0

once you exceed tmobiles 3gb per month data cap fair use allowance, they simply slow down your speed until the forthcoming billing date.
They also have no way of knowing if your data has been used via the smart phone, or via the tethering app :T
Since most the sites I browse while tethering i'd be doing anyway on the phone if I was sat downstairs its quite a nice feature.0
