no signal

Hi, can anyone give me some advice... Got promoted, and now am in a store where i cannot get a signal on my contract phone, and vodafone say that it is because of poor signal which I knew. They will cancel my contract for £600, which is what I would pay if I kept the contract going.. Is there anything I can do as I am not getting a signal, and not able to use the phone other than when I'm not at work.

Assuming this is a normal personal contract, then no you can't do anything about it. It is not your networks fault you now work where there is no signal.

It's kinda the network's fault there's no signal there, though...

£600? How much longer was there on your contract? I presume you can still use the phone when you are at home.

The problem you have is that it's not Vodafone's fault that you've been moved to a location where they freely admit they have low signal.

No network guarantees 100% coverage.

Yep I can still use the phone outside of my office, but I am only 5 months into a 24 month contract, which is why £600.
This afternoon, I managed to get 3 months free whilst they look at the signal in the area, but still means i got to get a payg orange phone which does get a signal in my store. when you're in the middle of Birmingham you would expect a signal from vodafone.

I actually disagree with this statement. Most people pay good money, in my case £35 per month to vodafone to provide us with a signal. I would expect to have poor signal if I was in the outer hebridees, or the top of ben nevis, but to be in the middle of Englands second biggest city, I think we should have the expectation of a signal, when we are paying a lot of money for that service. Trust me...if you were in my situation you would probably see it my way..

You can disagree all you want, but what I said is correct. You now work somewhere without signal. Vodafone did not force you to move office. By they very nature of mobile networks there will ALWAYS be blackspots, this is why networks do not guarantee coverage - and they do not guarantee any coverage indoors anyway.

Don't shoot the messenger when you have been asking for advice, if it is not what you want to hear.
