PP - hope you enjoyed the walk. We plan to spend most of this fortnight off walking, and want to go up to Ingleton Waterfalls at some point - last time we went there for the weekend I came back pregnant though .

Grateful - not sure if I have already posted this but Congratulations :j.

Lilo sorry you got a diagnosis of CFS/Fibro, but at least it's a relief that it isn't MS. I'm a suffer of CFS and Fibro, and basically all I do is listen to my body really. Although there are some times when I am so whacked out that I fall asleep on the sofa for hours on end. If you want to talk then feel free to send me a PM and maybe I can offer a little bit of support. Little helpful tip energy tablets and painkillers are very good for getting you through specific days i.e. days out or something. Just don't tell your Dr that you are taking energy tabs as mine told me off..lol Yet I do still need them now and again.

Just remember which you have taken I thought I had taken my painkillers and took another lot of energy tablets and wondered why I couldn't sleep that night and was in pain:eek:

Not a lot of flying done this weekend apart from dailies was out all day yesterday and took DS to the carboot today. Did manage to pick up a few bits for xmas pressies though and got DS some more jeans.

I'll be starting my 2nd week with a clear sink and a clean & tidy MADE bed plus a 'cleared of clutter' area where the tv remotes/magazine/etc live. Not much but it's a start...oh yeah and I've got a usable grill pan :T which I didn't have this time last week.

Advice please: how do I get rid of the mark left by water in a glass vase? I've scrubbed to no avail with a plastic scubby thing.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend ladies xx

kaz its harmless jollity, the missus isn't giving him enough attention.

I have conquered Mt. Ironmore, KH is in my house which is causing morning sickness which I don't have. I wouldn't mind but it takes ages to get the smell out of the dining room...

eta rach here's the thread with the link in it. I was 100% in favour of floradix until I read this.

Current NHS advice is not to drink at all (even when you're trying ... and that goes for both men & women apparently :p)... don't even sniff the stuff, although most GPs seem to say that this is excessive and the odd drink won't do any harm. As far as the iron supplements go, your GP can prescribe them if necessary, or recommend over the counter ones - apparently liquid supplements are less likely to make you constipated :o

Rach I'm with grateful, ask your GP about the stuff you got, don't rely on what anyone else says. No idea on current advice on drinking in pregnancy is, but a half of guinness allegedly has iron in and would be a much nicer way to take it ;)

Thanks all. My blood tests showed that my Hb was a bit low (11.5) and so message from GP was that although I didn't need to be prescribed iron tabs I could get something over the counter if I was feeling tired (which I am). So I went for the floradix as easier on the digestion (big consideration with my IBS).

To be honest all I can find online is advice not to take herbal stuff without telling GP/MW and particularly the raspberry leaf tea type stuff...and that excess iron can cause low birthweight. I don't think I'll be on excess iron so should be ok, but will ask MW on Friday. I meant to ask GP friend at church this morning but forgot!

    When I looked back I realised I hadn't put in a :p to show I was joking.
One of the problems of on-line communication - you can't hear the tone of voice someone is typing in IYSWIM.
