valli I thought of you earlier and then decided you would not be interested now - we had not 1 but 4 FIRE appliances in the street filled with men in uniform - knocking on all our doors to do fire checks!!! I spoke to 2 who then sent 2 more to do the check - they were very nice but not my type - and I got an all clear so they wont be coming here again!!

Evening! Just popping in quickly as I need to pack for camp and clean out all the furries before bed.

I was observed at work today (Food Technology) and was graded as good so I am really pleased :D

Welcome to all newbies and Happy Birthday, Congrats, and Hugs for all as appropriate. At camp from after school tomorrow until school finishes on Friday so will catch up Friday evening.

Have a good rest of the week x

    Evening all!

Busy day again, though not as productive as yesterday -

So, after 2 days stuck inside, I took a run to my nearest Mr T tonight, its 10 miles, so a nice drive there, quiet wander and managed only to get necessary store cupboard items, as I didnt really need anything. Got fish n chips once home

    Hugs to all!

    Evening all :hello:

Just had to skim read as I hardly seem to have been around so far this week.

Had an easy day yesterday after a busy weekend with camp etc. Then after the school run this morning I got dragged into helping out at ringing simulator practise and did not get back here until lunch time.

Before lunch I rang a friend who had pc probs which we managed to sort over the phone (I think!).

Since school I have been helping Miss A with her final homework of the year and getting dinner ready. She was then playing with her new mobile phone (was a snip at £7.50 after discounts etc) that she had for doing very well at school this year. Both of them had excellent reports :D W had lego atlantis for his treat.

  • I was observed at work today ...

You're slacking. I made it my mission years ago to never allow myself to be seen actually doing anything resembling work. They would either find the tasks mysteriously already completed when they went to complain about my inactivity or I would fiendishly convince them that I was having fun at their expense.

Hours of fun to be had in confusing management types when employed/deputy head teachers when volunteering (the only parent who would do ANYTHING but sit and listen to reading - 'yeah, I'll sit with the boys who can't remain still for more than 3 seconds, I'll do Maths, I'll do art, I'll do music or science, I would just rather not do reading!').

Mind you, the KH1 is also convinced that I sit around indoors all day doing FA other than think how to spend his long awaited money...Oh. :D

Well, I'm not sitting indoors, I'm in a car or a rehearsal room....
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

My oven has a layer of cleaner on it & the shelves & grill are soaking in bio washing powder in the bath. There is no going back...I have to clean it now!!! :D

    Lisa

Oven in a bad way. Will be cleaning it again soon after spraying it with something else!
Shelves haven't come up too bad after a soaking in bio washing powder.
After tonight, will do it again next week. Hopefully it'll be shiney again once more after a few cleanings!

    Where has the day gone.

Back from cricket and DS3's team won their first (the last) game of the season. DS bowled a wicket and took a catch so he was pleased.

Frodders - well done on your 'good'

Getting nowhere with the flying this week and even less far with the holiday prep - must try harder tomorrow.

  • My oven is much improved. Used what I had in.

1st off something by Dr Beckman. Wasn't very good. Then Mr Muscle. Better.

What do other people use to clean their ovens?
