Yes that's my plan anyway. If it's ok with everyone else then yes i'd love to stay. I could update every month on how much i've saved etc...

This week so far i've cancelled a girlie night out (saved £40)
Ebayed 15 items and have 3 bids already - yippee!!
Cashed in all my coppers (£5) bought dinner with it for 2 nights :T
Have £100 left in my account that I 'd normally have spent on junk..

I've also decided to sell my cards myself (I had an agent but she is giving it up) I run a small business as well as nurse for an agency. So my goal is to try and bring an income of about £450 - 500 per week. This is gonna take alot of discipline (I also have low days (CFS) so i need to keep myself healthy in order to achieve this goal) I think i'll start to feel better when I get RID of this debt hanging over me.

Say I manage to save quite a bit of money in a year then i'm sure i've read that some creditors accept a reduced final payment. That's my plan and I'll get there with the help of all you lovely people.

Thanks Mirtos I'll stay if that's ok?

    xx

The more the merrier I say!

PS  Very excited as managed to list 25 items on ebay's 5p listing day and have got my debt down to £17,500 from the £17,561.63 that I started with. It's not much but it's a psychological milestone

Yes Little L! Stay! DDDk - I know the feeling - I'm thinking that I might risk being short this week to pay off the "odd numbers" of my debt - for the psychological boost.

  • I just like the idea of seeing the number go down, don't care by how much even little and often will please me ! :D
Spoke to bank about making overpayments on my loan but they said I can only pay back large lump sums so all the money I would have put towards overpayments will go in to my savings account and when I have a lump sum I will just pay off a chunk in one go, on the plus side since I have included my CC's in with the 18k I will concentrate on getting rid of those first esp. the barclaycard one as the minimum payment doesn't even cover their charges any more !

uh oh  just had a moment of weakness and bought a new pair of shoes - in my defence, I do actually need them as my old ones are far too scruffy for work now, and these were only £10 in the sale (well £18.75 if you count the impulse-buy top and delivery charge ). It does mean I can't pay off those 'odd numbers' this week though!

No. As a compromise, I'll pay off the little odd numbers - another £2.06 off the loan it is then!

  • Now now, I don't know - all this profligate spending indeed - I'll be keeping my eyes :naughty: on you lot...

I've got just under £150 heading my way from Paypal from some ebay sales that I was paid for yesterday, as well as another £650ish spare at the end of next week, all of which I plan to go towards my debt with only a light stop over in my bank account.

    I do like payday.

That means you lot are going to be looking at £800 worth of dust, taking me UNDER £17,000!!!

Unfortunately, then I go on holdiay for a week. So you lot have a breather.

This weekend smells like a potential matched betting weekend.
