Bells & whistles, I made £75 from my 5p listing on Thurs. I put my items on for a 3 day thingy coz we plan on going away for a cheapie holiday at the weekend and I wanted to transfer the funds to my account as soon as. Was so pleased - plus I paid £26 into my account from Green Metropolis too :T :T
I also managed to work a 12 hour shift today (the first in a long time) and was paid just short of £200 :j :j
Hopefully things are starting to look a bit healthier. I'm addicted to saving money now.....
Hope things are going well with everyone...

Morning all,
Time for the first full week of our challenge! This is going to be a long slog, but I've made a really good dent in my totals (well, psychologically) as I'm standing at:
Debt Totals
Egg: £6659.42
Capital One: £2906.42
Lloyds: £1946.28
Amex: £5987.88
Total: £17,500.00
I've got just under £150 coming in from ebay sales in the last week and I've got a massive 25 items listed on ebay at the moment.
Last week's plans
1. List as much as I can on ebay this Thursday to take advantage of a 5p listing day
DONE - 25 items listed
2. Do daily searches (carsource, kelkoo & highstreetweb) on quidco
MOSTLY DONE(tracking went wrong, honest) so earned 94p
3. Do at least one matched bet
NOT DONE
Plans for this week
1. Do daily searches (carsource, kelkoo & highstreetweb) on quidco
2. Do at least three matched bets (two for this week plus the one I didn't do last week)LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

Ok so heres how I've done up to this point !
Listed as much as poss on ebay (curent selling totals are £23.00 inc p+p)
Listed books on Green Metropolis
20p's saved = £14.00
Total in saving account £300.00 (can't make overpayments on the loan so all my hard work will accumulate in the SA and I can make a lump sum payment when I have a decent enough figure payments to the CC will also come from this amount)
Total earned so far = £337.00 :T
So new debt total = £18320.22

Goals for last week
1)Pay off At least £100 by Sunday. Done! Paid off just over £200!
2)Use quidco more regularly to up profits Not done as thoroughly as I'd like!
3)Investigate matched betting Begun to investigate, but not confident enough to bet as yet.
4) Send letter before action to reclaim bank charges from Barclays. Realised that I have to wait another week for 14 day deadline to expire!
5) Get round to listing the stuff I've sorted out on ebay. Not done
6)List all remaining books set aside to sell on amazon. Not done
New Goals
1)Pay off At least £100 by Sunday. (Again)
2)Use quidco more regularly to up profits - and really do it this time!
3)Investigate matched betting further and place at least 1 matched bet.
4) Send letter before action to reclaim bank charges from Barclays once deadline expires!!
5) Get round to listing the stuff I've sorted out on ebay. Will definately do this week as am currently off sick with tonsilitis!
6)List all remaining books set aside to sell on amazon. As above.
Last week was stupidly busy, so hopefully this week will be better. As I'm off sick, I have lots of time to list things for sale so I HAVE to do that this week or it'll be embarrassing.

Hi guys,
I was wondering what experience you lot have with selling books at the various outlets available. I have some books I would like to sell, mostly unwanted presents, and I was wondering which was the cheapest place to sell books and whether you get a decent price for them. My list is:
1) ebay
2) green metropolis
3) amazon
-> Do you know of any more?
-> Which is the cheapest of the above?
-> Which of the above gets the best prices, generally, for books?
Thanks,

I had my first Green Metropolis experience on Sunday, they sell all their books for £3.50 and will pay you £3.00 for each book you sell. Not sure about p&p though?...

I use amazon because I can post stuff from free for work (a bit cheeky, but saves me tonnes!) I make abut £200 a month all tolled, but this depends on what books you have and what they're going for.Official Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095! Debt Now:

Do you find that you get (after Amazon's fees) £3 per book, roughly?LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)
