  • Didn't manage to do anything on my to do list from last week! Ooops. Been busy sorting flat things out and selling ebay things that were bought but hadn't been collected yet, so that sort of counts doesn't it?

Anyway, might as well move the tasks from last week to this week:

    To Do This Week

    1) Follow up complaint to letting agent about their management of flat.
    2) Find another matched bet to place.
    3) List yet more stuff on ebay

  • Hi!

I'm back. Airports were ridiculous because of the Glasgow thing but holiday was good apart from the travelling.

I didn't spend too much while I was enjoying myself (well, less than expected) so yippee!

    Hi everyone

Haven't been around for ages due to moving house and not having internet connected but back now. Glad to see everyone doing so well.
    :p

OK, I'm getting a bit repetitive now as it's only me on here.... but the same again! I've signed a contract so I'm just waiting for the other side to do the same - I've just had to pay the ground rent and maintenence charges for this year, so I'll want their share back from when they buy it onwards!

Once the flat is sold, I'm going to go, all guns blazing, for the Management Agent's throat!

  • Hi all,

Very exciting announcement - I'll have enough when I get paid tomorrow to pay off my Lloyds credit card and take myself under £10,000.

    Wow!

    Hiya DDDK,

I'm aware that you sometimes feel as though you're on your own on this challenge, but I've been a bit of a lurker:o, and your persistance is quite inspirational.
I'm really pleased to hear that you've hit this land mark though... Well Done!:T
I hope the rest disappears really quickly, and that your house/flat (?) sale goes through without any problems.

    Best Wishes

PS Apologies to those who also read regularly but don't update as often as DDDK... The bottom line for my post was to congratulate DDDK, not step on anyones toes...:o:o:o

The others (well, Mirtos and becsxxx) are going through a bit of a lifestyle change at the moment so they can't perhaps do as much as we were all doing at the start. That said, they've done well considering what they are going through!

Equally, they aren't as sad or obsessed (sp?) as I am so don't feel the need to update us all quite so regularly...

    Thanks for the encouragement!

  • Hi all,

I'm down to £10,078 at the moment and I calculate I will have £381.32 surplus this month in addition to the minimum payments of around £117 and £171.57 so I should be down to £9400 on the 14h August (when my Amex direct debit goes out).

If I pay the minimum payment on my M&S card on the 29th (direct debit) and then the £381.32 surplus off the Amex card on the same day, I will be down to £9525.94 - yippee - at the end of this month.

    I can't wait to be under £10,000....

DDDK - just wanted to pop in and say a HUGE well done!!! You are doing amazingly and are a real inspiration.

Am struggling to keep head aboove water at the moment so not really posting my own statements. Just hanging on for monumental pay rise (now confirmed as £15k on top of what I earn already!) in September.

Anyway, don't lose heart, we are all watching and appreciating how well you're doing - keep it up!
