OK. The Figures now are:
Debt Now:
M&S £5000 £2071.49 - 3.9% |Cahoot Loan £8646.96 £7453.24 - 5.8%| Barclays OD £2250.00 £991.99 - 0% Halifax Card £1620.60 - 0%
Savings: £927.59
Grand Total = £11,209.73
Total paid off since 31st May '06 = £10,402.68
So I'm nearly half way there - I anticipate my total debt figure may go up a bit before I'm back in paid work, but it isn't as bad as I'd feared. I wish I didn't have that £1620 on my Halifax card though - my total would be in 4 figures then!!!
Anyway. Good to be back guys. :wave:Official Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095! Debt Now:

Wow. Activity! Phew. I was getting worried about you lot, you know.
I'm still hovering on £12,300 as I have loads of cash in my wallet but will need to pay it into my spending account as I just booked a holiday to Barcelona...
But it's nearly pay day, so I'll have some more money to play with soon.
And that darned flat might even sell soon.
Due another £200 from ebay soon as well.
I've done (2), (3), (4) and (6) from my to do list, as well.LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

Well done DDDK - very productive. I think I need to get back to ebaying - I've given up on amazon as the books I was storing weren't selling very often and the new postage costs have cut in to my profit margin. I freecycled them all at the weekend, and now at least have my office space back! I have a small box of ebayable stuff - but o time to get to a post office. Ho hum. I think I just have to keep my head down and get through the current freelancing/no money period, and then work my bum off as soon as I'm back to regular employment. On the upside, the work is great, I'm really enjoying it and don't feel quite as doomed on a day to day basis as I did when I was temping.Official Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095! Debt Now:

Busted me eh? It was quite a good deal....
I really do hope that I see four figures soon - its so annoying having this debt hanging around me neck!Mirtos wrote:Well done DDDK - very productive. Hi Mirtos - that's interesting what you say about Amazon. I tried to sell a book on there and it never sold so that was the end of my adventure. I'm really tempted by gumtree.com as it's free to list and sell things on there. I've not been brave enough to try it yet. I still have far too much stuff to sell on ebay and I'm getting fed up with it. Perhaps I should chuck it all on Freecycle?LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

DDDK To Do Last Week
1) Follow up complaint to letting agent about their management of flat.
[STRIKE]2) Make sure all the stuff I have ebayed gets posted/picked up/delivered quickly so I get both money and dollops of positive feedback.
3) Eat Chocolate.
4) Chase free £5 from betfair that I didn't get automatically from matched betting recently - which ruins the point of matched betting IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR FREE BET!!! Grrr [/STRIKE]
5) Find another matched bet to place.
[STRIKE]6) Chase salary increase (lost in HR - will be back paid but, well, I WANT MY MONEY!)[/STRIKE]
To Do This Week
1) Follow up complaint to letting agent about their management of flat.
2) Find another matched bet to place.

Hi all,
Just a quick message - noticed that there's a cheap listing day on Thursday. I've already listed something this lunchtime (oh blast!) but in case any of you were about to ebay things, now's your chance to enter your items into Turbo Lister.
Phoned solicitor and apparently, at this rate, I'll be looking to complete in the third week of July.
Also, I've decided to stop using credit cards full stop! I've had a bit of a "scare" this month not being able to move money around fast enough so I'm going to stop using my complicated system and just pay with cash/debit card from now on.LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

I used to make £200 a month + from amazon - I think it's just that all my good books have sold! Gumtree sounds promising - might have a look.

Sold another £103.99 worth of stuff (as in got the cold hard cash in my hands) but haven't heard from one buyer and had to start unpaid item proceedings against another.
Down to £12k debts this month. Yay!
Starting to plan what to do with the surplus money from the flat sale and have started consulting people (only discussion boards) about how to invest and how much to invest and how much to save etc.
It's much more complicated than debt busting! At least it's profitable :TLBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)
