Maybe when I hit the magical 10k mark, or perhaps the £9,999 mark.

Think - for that much, you could buy a new car _pale_

Scratch that. If the sale doesn't go through quite quickly, I'll have a mortgage payment to go (first full one for ages thanks to tenant) so I actually only have about £500. Still, that's something!

    How is everyone else doing?

  • Hi all,

Not much going on here - seems to be becoming the "DDDK Tumbleweed Thread"...

I'm now down to £12,300 so that looks like my total for May. Hopefully June will be as or more successful!

I've finally finished all my flat paperwork so now, hopefully, it will all just happen and contracts will be exchanged soon.

I've sorted out a plumber to sort the leak - a joint in an overflow pipe was leaking! Shouldn't be too hard to fix.

    DDDK To Do This Week

    1) Follow up complaint to letting agent about their management of flat.
    2) Make sure all the stuff I have ebayed gets posted/picked up/delivered quickly so I get both money and dollops of positive feedback.
    3) Eat Chocolate.
    4) Chase free £5 from betfair that I didn't get automatically from matched betting recently - which ruins the point of matched betting IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR FREE BET!!! Grrr
    5) Find another matched bet to place.
    6) Chase salary increase (lost in HR - will be back paid but, well, I WANT MY MONEY!)

    That'll do for now.

    DDDK

PS I hope everyone else is doing OK - I'd love to know how you lot were getting on, even if it's not been much lately...

    WELL DONE BECSXXX

wow! but that does feel reaslly undeserved at the moment and can't even face totting everything up right now!

as you know, my partner moved out last month and that means mortgage, service charge etc. are doubled. on the plus side, had a really positive second viewing this week so fingers crossed i might finally get a sale!

am undecided whether to buy something smaller immediately or just rent for a bit. will wait and see!

unfortunately, have also been VERY VERY NAUGHTY - tut tut bad becsx! As have been indulging my misery with retail therapy. Am cringing just thinking about how much I may have spent.....

have just reread my post - sorry to sound so miserable when everyone is just trying to help. just feel generally dreadful and unmotivated at the moment.

will try and get a new SOA together ASAP. only have to hold everything together until September as I've had confirmation that I qualify then and will get a big payrise.

glad you're doing so well DDK!

Hello guys. I'm sorry I've been absent for so long. I'm freelancing at the moment, and it means that I don't have a second to spare - I just come home from work and fall asleep! HOWEVER. there is some slightly good news - I claimed back £3500 in bank charges for my mum, and when she won, she gave me £2000 to pay off debt! I couldn't believe it! I'm over the moon. Especially as due to the zero pay right now I was feeling very glum about debt.

At the moment I'm living off a 0% on purchases for 12 months credit card, and still have just short of £1000 in savings in my account at 8%. I'm a bit scared about how much is on the 0% card though, so I'm going to spend some time tonight sorting out my finances again and then post back with my new totals.

I'm so so sorry to have been absent for so long - I'll try not to let it happen again.

Becsxxx, I'm really sorry to hear about your split - I'm rooting for you to get through the mire to the payrise in September.

DDDK - well done on the house sale!

    Ok.
    Back soon.
