DontDoDebtKids wrote:Have you ordered your credit file recently? Try https://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk for a free one. Check that everything looks OK on there and sort anything else that looks wrong.
Other than that, you probably want to wait until January before you apply for anything else! Lenders don't seem to like it if you keep applying for credit - makes you look too desperate.
Just looked back at my rating with annualcreditrating and its good 874 out 1000, but it does say there have been no searches on my file - a bad thing.
I have just done another one with Experian and it says 10 searches in 12 months. Some are stupid, like a camelot one when I signed up for online lottery. I have paid for a score with them.
Should I?
Is annualcredit a trustworthy one?0 -
I think you have to use all of them to get an accurate picture, unfortunately, because different financial companies use different credit searchers.LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

I cannot believe I am the first one to post today! Where are you all?
Debt Now: £17876.60
I've just got back from holiday, so am a little bit frustrated that I haven't paid off more this month. ALSO, Thursday is my last day at work before I go freelance, which may represent a wage cut  I hope not though- we'll have to see.
Next week, is a busy one as I'll be starting my first freelance job, but my major goal is :
1) Pay off at least £200 this week.
I also need to have a rethink about what to do with all my amazon stock - one of the perks of my job was that I could post stuff for free from work - but obviously I can't do that now, so my profit margins are going to dramatically decrease. I'm toying with the idea of just selling off my entire stock (400 odd books, cds and videos) in one big job lot - especially as they're taking over my office! What do you all think?
I had a lovely holiday - even if I am paying for it now! but never mind - back to the grindstone.
