Weird - personalised ipod. Scam?

Lets look at it another way.

The OP's wife told him about the phone call, he posted here.

If she had been having an affair, lost the iPod, got another etc, no way she would have told him, leaves her wide open to be found out.

This whole thing sounds bizarre, I hope the OP keeps us updated!

How long has she had the ipod? Maybe someone has found the invoice for the ipod and got all the info off of that?

This I am dying to know the skeet on it all, my bet goes on he bought her the ipod as a presant, she lost ipod or had it stolen but didn't want to tell him it had gone so bought another one so as not to updet him, person who stole/found original now leaves original in hotel but will not go back for it as it has another persons details on it.

Downside of being a clone is if your ipod goes missing, all the other clones get a phone call...

Jimboms, I like your version of events but how did the security person at the Watford Hotel find out the phone number for the real owner of the ipod?

If the lady had been having an affair (as was also suggested) then she wouldn't leave her phone number with the hotel, would she?

I liked the idea of asking about the music on the ipod but would the OP know what music his wife had on her ipod? (my husband certainly wouldn't know what I have on mine - other than it's not to his taste LOL)

You can put contacts on most versions of the ipod and sync it with outlook so if it had a heading under home and her name engraved on the back, that may have given a clue
