Am definately going to try that recipe for my Mum, she misses cake:o I have seen that programme its quite good isn't it?
If you want info on recipes suitable for diabetics - then maybe Amazon has a copy or two of some recipe books I have:
- "Sugar-Free Cakes and Biscuits - recipes for diabetics and dieters" by Elbie Lebrecht
- "Sweets without sinning" by Gwyneth Dover (not sure how suitable this one is for diabetics - as I dont have any friends who are diabetic)
EDIT: Just checked - you're in luck - there are books by Elbie there - including this one - at 1p.0 -

Hi all,
Had a giggle over this as my late Dmil always called her [v large!!!] undies' harvest festivals!!! 'as 'all is safely gathered in ':rotfl:
As you can probably guess ex was a farmer and so were his parents. Thanks for this hun.

Does this mean that you have a pattern for such items (please share) or that you are frugally mending (in which case, applause)?0 -
To be honest - as a diabetic - I have found it is far easier to just use normal recipes and make a few changes. Baking cakes that are wholemeal flour, dried fruit and nut heavy, no additional icings, toppings tend to be nuts, then eating prudently.Put the kettle on.0

So glad i gave you a giggle...if you'd seen me sewing 'em you would have had even more to laugh about
And if you;d seen me wearing 'em :eek:Does this mean that you have a pattern for such items (please share) or that you are frugally mending (in which case, applause)?
Now there's an idea....i've just ordered some washable ST's because i'm trying to be all OS and kinder to the environment and well mainly it's for financial reasons i cannot tell a lie...but maybe i could make my own knickers and make them 'reversable'...
...reversable knickers...the second day of wearing they just get turned inside out
Gosh, i hope nobody thinks i am ACTUALLY serious about this...:rotfl:
No chuck, i was just sewing the ahem...waistband (told you they were Bridgette Jones-esque)
However, I just did a quick google search and found a fun webpage that tells you how to make knickers from an old T-shirtGrocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
NSD Challenge: October 0/140 -

I recall reading an autobiography of a lady who grew up in the Forest of Dean olast century. The children used to wear their knickers one side out for a week and then they were turned and the other side out for the next week and washed every fortnight!
The t-shirt knickers are fun, might do that sometime.
I used to make a lot of my own - silk and cotton lace trim frenchies! If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
O I didnt read the email !! I've gone all shy now... !
RAS, I hate to say this... (insert evil smiley)..but I always thought you were a man !
I mean, I suppose you could be a man and could still have sewn yer own lace undies... butttt ....:eek:0 -
