I wanna netbook!

OK, although I wasn't really recommending one of the CE's in my earlier posts I was explaining how they are out there but wouldn't really cut the mustard for what the OP wanted. It was more to highlight the fact they are out there and not to be tempted by the lure of the price. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough. It just reminds me of the stories of little boys getting a "Nintendo Wii" off their beloved grannies for christmas only to open it up and find its a Zone 40 etc. (if you've never seen one google it and you'll find a whole bottle of silly gas!!):D
Hmmmmmm....dragon934: Well, I think for the kind of price your willing to pay, your really going to have to consider a low spec style netbook. They usually have windows CE and I have no idea what value they represent but they are very light and very cheap....
I guess you confused yourself somewhere along the way.
The Zone 40 looks like fun for the entire family.
As much as I am enjoying this, I have to get ready to go out. Nice meeting you.

You too (although I meant my earliest posts but nvm)
What you quoted me on was me trying to say you couldn't get a decent netbook and lightweight for the 200 but you found one so, well done. I'm looking at one for my wife, as mentioned in my first post so I might take a look at this netbook of yours.
PS in the unlikely event of you being serious, please dont buy the zone 40 for any child relatives of yours, its not worth that disappointment hidden behind a thank you!!0 -

Niece just dropped her brand new £700 laptop down the stairs, totally demolishing it. She'll be lucky to get a Zone 40.....

Well chaps I've had the little gizmo for almost a month & its a good'un!!
I've used it out & about & at home it does what it says it will and it's a nice looking little piece of kit as well. I got a neoprene sleeve from Poundland LOL. For £144 inc del. it's turned out to be a good buy.
My sis was impressed so she got one each for her kids so they'll leave her swish laptop alone - it's got MS works preinstalled so fine for homework etc.
Even the webcam + mic installed is a good little gadget for netchats.0 -
After all that work arm wrestling with dragon934....thank goodness.
Hope you get a lot of good use out of it. Is certainly a good specification for the money. I wonder if he got one for his wife.... 0 -
Are Zoostorm anygood? I have heard of the brand but thats about it. Seems cheap to me thats why I was wondering. a nice 1GB of ram extra and windows would be steaming,Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
