A little above your budget at £234 MSI X410 2GB RAM, 14" screen with Windows 7 Home Premium. 1.52kgs. Black is available for £10 more.
Other than that there are quite a few 10" screen laptops within your budget, but they will have only 1GB RAM and lesser processors.
Sorry, was just trying to better your suggestion
ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0 -
Sorry, but are you residing on the same plane as the rest of us?
Why would she has to settle for Windows CE for £200?
That kind of rubbish is sold for around £60.
She has already decided on a Zoostorm for £144.

Not at all sure about what you are thinking. Perhaps you are accidentally posting on the wrong thread. Either way, I'm sure you are trying to be helpful.
My mistake, I thought she'd ruled out that one as it weighed 1.3Kg0 -
Where does it say that it weighs 1.3kg??
I really think there is something wrong with you. If it hasn't already been diagnosed I think it's time for check up.
Well I'm a new user so I cant put any links in unfortunately, but by putting the described netbook into google several sites came back with the weight at 1.25-1.3 Kg. I don't see why you need to be abusive about it, we're all trying to help.
Maybe you could do a little homework yourself before saying there is something wrong with me0 -

First of all, I haven't abused you.
Secondly, the OP's post
in reply to my suggestion can in no way be regarded as a 'rejection'.might be worth a punt at that price! Thanks for the tip
Thirdly. I had already posted the weight of the machine in my original post(so clearly I have done my homework).
Fourthly and possibly most importantly, I still maintain that there may be something wrong with you.
I can't find a single link that describes it at the weight that you suggest.
A sample: The Zoostorm Freedom 10 270 Netbook isn’t an impressive netbook but it is cheap with a large 250GB hard drive. Its not going to win any competitions sporting a Intel Atom 1.66GHz N270 with 1G RAM rather then a new Pine Trail CPU but its cheap. Under $300 cheap, so if you are looking for a netbook around the house something to surf on while your watching TV this would be the cheap netbook for you. I say at home because it got up to 3 hours battery life and has dimensions of (H)2.8, (W)25, (D)18cm and weighs 0.95kg. Its 10 inch screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 and is rocking an SD & MMC card reader, 2 USB ports, ethernet port and Wifi.
Sold here by Ebuyer for £200. A few reviews there.0 -
I had already said I made a mistake in regards to your suggestion being disregarded
and there are 1.25-1.3kg versions. which having viewed your link must be ones with a larger battery cell count.
I just don't see why you need to have a pop at me and McHale just for suggesting alternatives. This is about letting the OP make informed decisions not about whose advice they take. You seem to be more annoyed that I implied the OP disregarded your suggestion than anything else. I really dont want to argue with you of a simple oversight, when I can spend time helping people instead.
Claims that theres something wrong with people, or that there must be silly gas in the air etc are no help to anyone, especially the OP.
You made your suggestion and a very good one it was, which I simply overlooked, and later found the same netbook but was heavier. But there is still nothing wrong with people offering their opinions either0 -
Calm down Calm down

I've taken a punt on this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330449944783&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_2228wt_937
I read reviews online about the machine and all were generally positive so I'll let you know how I get on with it.
Thanks to everyone who replied!0 -

Actually as far as I know there are no battery variations.
Oversight? Apart from anything else you were suggesting Windows CE machines on a £200 budget!! That is patently ridiculous.
Imagine someone unknowingly took you up on such advice...
I'm not annoyed at all, just find you incredible.
Actually I just thought you were on a 'wind up' and was quite surprised when I realised that you were serious.
You appear to have gone off at a tangent on post #18 and have lost your way ever since.
No harm done, it's just online banter.
If you are sure there is nothing wrong with you, don't bother to make an appointment.
But, if in doubt....

You appear to have disregarded everything the OP requested, as well as most of the subsequent posts.

OK, although I wasn't really recommending one of the CE's in my earlier posts I was explaining how they are out there but wouldn't really cut the mustard for what the OP wanted. It was more to highlight the fact they are out there and not to be tempted by the lure of the price. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough. It just reminds me of the stories of little boys getting a "Nintendo Wii" off their beloved grannies for christmas only to open it up and find its a Zone 40 etc. (if you've never seen one google it and you'll find a whole bottle of silly gas!!):D0
