UKPC Parking fine

Hello guys I'm hoping you can help as Im a little puzzled... I recieved a letter in the post today saying that my car was recorded parking on private property at mcdonalds car park???
Basically I had a breakfast meeting with someone at work in Maccy d's (I know classy) BUT the puzzling thing is I was parked in Mcdonalds car park???

So basically my husband says to ignore the letter, as do a few forums that I've visited with the same problem with this company, but my question is has anyone else ignored them? Also do you think I should approach to manager of mcdonalds and say what the hell is this?

Thanks

Totally blank UKPC and they will give up after a few threatening letters. Don't contact, phone, appeal or anything else.
Don't waste your time with the manager except to tell him that you won't be calling again and you'll tell your mates.

  • I don't get it though the person meeting me has got one as well, we've even been there to see if there are any signs, what worries me is how many people they have scammed doing this???
Who have they got permission off to use cameras? as theres a picture of my car coming in and leaving!!

All your colleague has is the same as you, just a begging letter asking for you to pay part of his wages that week. You are taking this way too seriously, just file all the bits of paper and laugh at their efforts.

Similar thread from 2 days ago, look at the replies from others and the links I gave and make sure your friend watches the Watchdog youtube video:

    Don't even think about paying, it's a well-known scam.

UKPC Parking fine - ummm no its a UKPC Parking invoice

    So not enforceable at all
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • I parked on the pavement by the side of the road next to my friends flat for 5mins to go in and get him, and within this time a had a ticket slapped on my windscreen! even though there was no sign of any parking attendants.
It is only in the last week have they suddenly put up signs and been ticketing all the residents at the flat, as there is insufficient parking for the flats. My friend said all the people in the street are partitioning against their tickets and all refusing to pay. Should i go along with this? my friend said he just binned his and will refuse to pay as UKPC is a private firm and there isnt any reason he should. Surely if this many people in a whole road are going to avoid payment, they will be pretty screwed. any thoughts?

    Good on them. :T

Please encourage your friend to stay firm and continue to ignore the debt collector scam letters arrive. UKPC have been known to send a letter chain of rubbish that can last months and include 8 or 9 letters!

But the letters are part of the con so let UKPC waste their money! Your friend will NOT be taken to Court and nothing at all will happen to his credit rating, he will not just acquire a CCJ - but the letters can look scary if you believe the hysterical threats in them.

Can you give your friend these two links so he can print a copy now for all the affected neighbours, they can then just play 'snap' when each matching threatogram arrives. We don't want anyone panicking and paying now do we:

    PPC letters/threats, what to expect

And here's a very recent pepipoo forum link showing how Roxburghe Debt Collectors fill in their template letters and pretend to be 'Graham White Solicitors' (GW) when people phone up:

    HTH :D:D

Bet the PPCs hate us and CAG and pepipoo!:rotfl:

Never buy a ticket to park, unless it's the last space.
    Never respond to anything.
    Never pay any charges/invoices/'fines'.

Nobody is saying don't pay for parking, as you well know. See this thread
