Ryanair Denied Boarding

@dmg, he states in the OP that boarding is at 16:30, therefor should have been allowed to progress to the gate. If he has the flight time wrong then it does change his position, however the advice re:Ryanair check ins etc still stands.0

We are talking the law of Ryan Air here OP. Plus you were late, which is not Ryan Air's fault.
Unfortunately tough, leave enough time in future to cover boats, punctures etc because sods law say they always occur on occasions such as this.0 -

His information is wrong - check it yourself on the Ryanair website.
'Advice re:Ryanair check ins'? The bit where you said the OP was in the right because he wasn't late?Gone ... or have I?0 -
My boarding pass says boarding at 16:25 with the gate closing at 15:55.
When it says gate closing i would assume this to be check-in as this did actually close as i walked into the tine airport it is.
As i had hand luggage only and had already checked in i think it is irrelivent that i was not standing in a line at the departures gate with my boarding card in one hand and passport in my other hand waiting in line like a nice obedient dog.
I was denied from going through security by staff and that is crux of it.0 -

The gate is the boarding gate. Surely if you fly frequently you would know that?
The boarding pass would not say boarding at 16.25 - you cannot board and leave at the same time!Gone ... or have I?0 -

I stand corrected.
Says boarding at 16:25 for a 16:35 take off.
Gate closes at 15:55, i take that to be the check in!
Ryanair website says:-
"You should be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to departure. "
That would make it 16:05 or 16:10 at the latest to proceed through security of which could have been done no problem. I was denied the opertunity to do that as security shut when the gate closed at 15:55, a full 40mins before departure. In my eyes security should have been open to 16:05 if i had to be at the gate, which in Dinard is 15 feet away from the security area.
Am i correct or wrong? Im not out for an argument on the rules of Ryanair, if i was late so be it thats my problem.
What i am after is clarification on EU rules on if i was denied boarding and am entitled to the statutory compemsation and the £250 ferry and trian fares it took me to get back to the UK.0 -

You are making it up now! I know what a Ryanair boarding pass looks like, I print at least four a month, and it does not say boarding at 16:25 for a 16:35 take off ... especially for a flight that is due to depart at 16.25!
You were late. You are not entitled to compensation.Gone ... or have I?0 -

This is an example of a Ryanair Boarding pass:

I flew about 2 months ago and the pass still looked very similar.
All that is on the pass is the Gate closing time and departure time. Although if the flight was delayed, it would have been good customer service to allow you to board.0 -

I've got one next to me now - I haven't flown with Ryanair this year, but print them for a ff who can't use a computer.
I imagine the OP has got the 16.35 time from his confirmation - this is the time the flight arrives at EMA.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Are you going to be starring in an episode of Airline as one of the red faced big fat angry bald blokes who missed their flight and rants at the customer service desk for 20 minutes getting nowhere before stomping off? If so please do let us know the date and time of the show.0
