i have no idea - i don't study the BBC web pages for house price news.
So the whats the point being made? The news was likely to be there at 9.30 but like most other headlines will move to somewhere else after while.
Seems to me some people are a bit upset by the news and looking to argue for argument sake.0 -
Mate I can see Chucky now slupmed over the keyboard, with Hamish just leaving the room and Chucky muttering "why, why me, why was I so stupid. I loved Hamish but he was wrong"
Flatliners ha I !!!!'um
how's the mortgage broking business going - stitched many people up?0 -

i agreed with you it wasn't there - it's on the Main News page.
the Home page that you mentioned has a rolling ticker of news and the main news headlines.
i think it's actually you looking for that argument or you've been unable to understand the post.0 -
When I saw this on on Sky News, couldn't wait to jump on here during lunch - got nothing to add, it's just a great thread0

No some people are upset by the news so seeking to divert attention away from it by gibbering about where it is on the website.
I have absolutely no idea at all why this is supposed to be relevant.
To return to the topic, it is clear that there is a strong trend of falls developing, and I cannot see anything coming up likely to divert from this.
We can't put interest rates down any lower than they are, can't afford another load of financial stimulus because we can't afford the one we've already had...
chucky et al - please tell us how long you see these falls continuing, and if you see them ending any time soon, please explain what you think will be the drivers for this.
I can't wait for your replies on this topic.0 -
Well mate if you had phoned me 5 months ago I would have told you the market is broke, biut as you never called I guessed you worked it out for yourself. However reading this thread I must be wrong.
Anyway give me a call I can give you a real up to date picture on what mortgage funding is like.
But I guess you will be tobusy removing the pool ball so I will give you a quick synopsis of the market.
Its broke.
As for the Sunshine I'm off to the beach with kids now. Phone on divert, laptop at the ready:cool:

I can't be bothered to read the middle 4 pages of this thread, so apologies if this has already been done.

Many of us had expected 2010 to be a stagnant year.
With price rises in the first half of the year there needs to be price falls in order for it to be stagnant.
Many of us thought there would be falls over the winter period which never materialised.
We've just passed a period of caution due to the election and the emergency budget.
All of this has been iterated time and time again.
It's not new news.
If you guys want to extrapolate a couple of months of small falls given all of the context above into the next wave, then that's up to you.
time will tell if your hope will come to fruition:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.
