NPM - I wish I could help you hun xx Have felt similar to you - not enough hours in the day, hate having to drag DS to school (although no tears today thank goodness) and generally overly emotional :o I hope that once September rolls around Noah will eventually settle and enjoy being in Junior school.

I also have a new toy !!! If anyone has a blackberry I found a new app for it for Shopping List.e

Oooh where did you download it from? Is it free? I have a BB and adore making lists :o :rotfl:

Just back from the gym, I feel great but why is it always such an effort to get there in the first place?!:rotfl:

I know that feeling!! :rotfl: I even park my car at the leisure centre for work every day and still I struggle going! :rotfl:

I've had a lovely day at work, did some paperwork int he morning with the work kids and then as it was one of their birthdays we went to the seaside in the afternoon for chips and ice cream :D I love my job! The kid with a crush on me (I say kid, he is a 17 year old lad!) was so funny today, he kept trying to get my attention and he gave me some of his sweets. I'm hoping he gets over his crush soon though as it can make work a bit awkward!

My boss's job has been advertised today (she leaving next month :() - I've printed off the application but still not 100% sure whether to go for it! But I need to decide ASAP as closing date is Tuesday!

OS wise, after work I popped to Morrison's and got some bits and bobs. WM has gone on and is getting a blowing on the balcony. I don't like to wash and dry stuff overnight normally but I am away over the weekend so won't have time to do anything then. I have also put away a huge pile of clothes, sorted recycling and tidied round. No idea what to make for tea though, I fancy fajitas but not sure if I have any sauce in freezer, I can't be bothered to make it from scratch today.

Hope you all have a fab evening :heart2:

Not much happening here today, think I have the blues after my short holiday, very tired and not much motivation! Will be ok tomorrow, an early night and raring to go I hope.

Stripped DDs bed and managed to get that and two more loads done and nearly dried on the line, just needs to be aired overnight. Apart from that not much OS here.

Sorry some of you are having a bad time, hope everything improves.

Evening everyone. Not much to report here either, good wishes to those having a bit of a rough time of it and hope it all comes well for you in the end, I'm sure it will one way or another!

Just been thinking about what to do with my weekend, as not seeing boyfriend and have this one to myself. I do miss him when it's an 'off' week (he lives about 2 hours away by train), but we agree it's good that we have some time off to ourselves to get on with jobs etc rather than spending ALL of our spare time together. To that end I have so far made a list of chores (once again! I'm somehow always filling up all my nice free time with loads of chores) that I will now put here as further incentive to get them all done:

    Take rubbish out
    Do grocery shop
    Put away washing off airer
Wash and dry bedding and put back on bed
    Hoover
    Clean round
Wash towels if no one else wants machine
Batch cook for freezer - a pot of dhal and a pot of three-bean chilli. Hope the dhal works out ok, I've never made it before.

Hoping to get all this done on Saturday then I can have a nice relaxing day Sunday, also hoping to squeeze in (as a reward for doing everything!) treating myself to a quiet sit in the pub with a glass of wine and a magazine as I've not done that in ages, can't even remember the last time I was in that particular pub. If you lot catch me on here over the weekend you must ask if I have done all my jobs and if I haven't you must tell me off!

Anyone else looking forward to the weekend already?

    Evening All,

Well, the doctor's went well(?) He was very nice, and very helpful. He thinks that apart from any damage I have done, I have damaged my sciatic nerve, which is the reason for the pain, and referred me for physiotherapy. He also prescribed me a slightly different painkiller, and a strong dose of another to help with the pain, as well as an ati-depressant for night-time, which is mostly for the pain at night, but should put paid to the stressy feelings I have been having, too, before they become anything more serious. He also suggested that I lose weight to help with everything, and was pleased when I told him I am trying just now. He has prescribed me Orlistat to help, and I will decide over the next day or two whether to start it or not. All in all I feel it was very useful, that's the good thing about seeing a locum sometimes, they have a completely different way of looking at things, and although I really trust my own doctor, I am not sure he would have made all these changes to my treatment.

Thank you for the good wishes, girls, you have fair kept me going these last few weeks, and I am feeling much more optimistic. Lowesy, thanks for the pm, I will reply later. :D

OS tonight we had fajitas with hm refried beans, quorn and peppers, and tomorrow we are off shopping to get the boys some new clothes, the older one particularly is growing at an alarming rate. It's DSIL's 40th Birthday tomorrow, so we also need to pick up something nice for her, and I am still on the lookout for that mirror for my hall.

Souk08, glad the date went well, and good luck for tomorrow!:D

NPM, have a {{{hug}}}, transitions are my oldests main problem, you have my sympathy, have they done a book, and visits etc.?

Hope you are all having a nice evening.

    Evening all,

Have just about recovered from my Glasgow trip....had a wonderful day, met some great people and, as JackieG has told you, changed my name to George!

We have eventually had some rain here, my beans and outdoor tomatoes are pleased, so am I as I no longer have to go watering the garden, just the greenhouse.

Going out to dinner to-morrow night with some of my brood to celebrate the fact that OH and I have not murdered each other in the forty years we have been married, like the restaurant we are going to so looking forward to that.

NPM....hugs, hope that things improve for you soon....

Kezlou....you poor thing, are they going to wire it together for you...that's what they did with DS3 when he broke his in a motorbike accident....they eventually removed the wire some years later and he seems to have had no trouble since.

Flutterby....good luck if you decide to go for new job...

Dinner to-day was haddock with a large salad, carrots, celery and potatoes....tea and last of gingernut biscuits to follow, really need to go shopping to-morrow.

Made the gooseberry wine at last, should have done it days ago but I'm sure it will be fine, will give it a mash and stir everyday and then strain it into a demi-john in about a week. Haven't made wine for donkeys years so hope it turns out ok....still very cheap and if I can keep my mitts off it long enough it might be good. Still picking raspberries every day, haven't got a huge amount but am more or less eating them as they come in, not enough to be able to spare any to make jam, there are more redcurrants too which I must pick to-morrow come rain or shine.

Welcome Thundercloud....did I get that right?

Hugs to all in need or want, especially to those who are MIA, good luck at hospital to PP.

It looks amazing though. Unfortunately I am the only one in the house who eats such things, and would need to eat it all myself.:( I am sure Slimming World do a no pastry low fat quiche, I'll have a look for that for myself. If I find it I'll post it, too for the people like me who aren't doing no carb.:)
