Morning all
No work till Monday for me!:j Today is my day of and tomorrow I usually work half a day but I have my aunt's funeral to go to. She is the last of the generation above me now so it is the end of one era. She was 92 and had a good life though.
Today I am going to catch up with the bits and pieces jobs that get left all week when I am working. Firstly I have to go shopping, I think we will have roast chicken for tea (3 for £10 deal) with new potatoes for the others and just veg for me.
But I need another coffee first to get me started this morning! :rotfl:I had a bit of a lay in and def feel worse for it, feel really lethargic and lazy!
Tru hope your hand heals quickly
Well done Master Bitsy!
Taplady - hope your job is ok Sorry, I hadn't picked up on the fact that your job might be in trouble - so much for speed reading the thread!
Redruby - I have been making the pastryless quiche too - its been a real saviour when I am stuck for ideas what to have and is great to take to work for lunches.
Thunderchild - welcome
Right off to get another coffee, then I must get out of this dressing gown and get showered and off:rotfl:

Bitsy, stupid teachers
I think Penny Pincher is at the hospital today so I hope she's ok.
Have stripped & remade bed today. Hoovered the matress as well. The airing cupboard is getting a well needed clear out & tidy. It'll then be safe to open the door without being hit in the face by towels!!!
Having a NSD today! There is frozen pizza dough in the freezer from the w/e so will get that our so the kids can have pizza for dinner. I will prob have some fish & stir fry. DH out with work so doesn't need dinner. Always moneysaving when he does that, lol!
Right, baby needs his nappy changed, then I'm going to put him to bed & do some ironing.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all, off today and need to do a bit more cleaning of floors etc and some washing and ironing. Meeting a friend for coffee later and dinner will be cheapo turkey bits (I pretend they're chicken!) with noodles, spring onions (on Aldi Super 6) and frozen peas with a bit of soy sauce, ginger etc. Need to meal plan later to see how much I still need to buy this month!. Hope it's not much though.
Date went well and had more than a touch of the David Beckham about him!
Ladies where will I get the pastryless quiche recipe? Thanks and have good days all XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
....Oo another OS question, does anyone use the Tesco's Value washing powder? It's definitely changed, it used to be good, but I've noticed it's not getting everything clean  Any advice? I've just bought a new box so I don't want to chuck it out but I'm probably not saving any money because I'm having to re-wash stuff
I would take it back & see what they say....ralloctiger wrote: »Dd1 has planted garlic how do you know when to harvest it!!
Mine was going all yellow & flopping over, it's not very big, but looks & smells like garlic

Morning All,
welcome thunderchild, glad you have joined us:D
Had a long lie this morning, up at 10.30:o OH is still in bed, but I've made him a coffee, and he'll need to get up and fetch the boys from their gran's soon, they never came home last night again.
I have some strawberries from my plants with yoghurt for breakfast this morning, they were delicious, but I think I will invest in a couple of other varieties for next year. I did have 3 originally but six plants never made it through the winter, this one that's survived seems particularly hardy, I think its called Amelia.
OS wise the WM is on too, and I have yesterday's dishes to wash, I wasn't very well with an upset tummy last night, and did nothing. Fine today though.
ButterflyBrain you're right, my meeting was yesterday but I just postponed it, whatever will be, will be, and they can just wait until I am back at work, to do it. One of the girls fro the office FB me last night, and told me some things which made me realise that I should just stay put until I am much better.
Hugs to Tappers and Lowesy, and everyone else having a hard time just now, good luck for your hospital stay tomorrow PenPin, and C-C congrats on your new niece, I forgot to mention it yesterday.
Have a lovely day all, and special thoughts to all those MIA

Morning all , I am sitting stewing and feeling rather hot and cross .The garage that was supposed to pick up my car at 9.30 this morning still hasn't arrived yet and its put me all behind as I wanted to get an early start at the shops .I have just rung the garage and got shunted around the system (isn't that just so annoying ) and eventually a 12 year old told me 'yes they are on their way to you but had been delayed as they thought you lived in Rainham Essex not Rainham Kent:mad: .The ME post code might have been a clue if they had a working brain cell :mad:I suppose but than I am just a hot grumpy old woman who wants to get her shopping done before it gets any hotter:mad: Oh well I guess they will get here eventually.
I shall start my ironing in a minute, I bet that will ensure that they appear whilst I'm in the middle of it Apart from that all's reasonably well in my world this morning.Hope everyone has a more productive day than I am having
Cheers chums
