LOL
It was purely hypothetical.... I'm sure a bank teller could easilly have this much money in their till. On the subject of size, I used to work somewhere that would reagulalry take 20,000 pounds in a day and when you cashed it up it took up a suprisingly small volume. Perfectly possible to fit this much cash in a single till.0 -
LOL MABLE! Post of the year by far for me!0

So OP - have you decided what you're going to do?The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Hello
With regards to the question from wigginsmum re: what i am going to do. Well after spending this last weekend worrying even more & not being able to sleep after reading some of the posts (talk about opening the floodgates!) & since i can' commit suicide or escape to the Costa Del Crime. I have decided to contact my trade union's debt helpline which is linked to one of the advice charities. They are going to be best placed to advise re my job if this whole thing turns nasty. I am going to tell them everything & will contact them after i have completed my SOA (still waiting for some info to complete).
However, although i have been stupid & have done wrong until i receive expert advice to the contary, i am not going to contact my creditors or the Police re telling lies on the application forms. They might not even notice & if they do (pending advice) i will deny it & say i or they must have ticked the wong box.
Whilst certain posters seem to have the mentality of the lynch mob i would just point out that i have not murdered anyone or mugged little little old ladies & i did not lead some lavish lifestyle. If i did get sent down then why wasn't the government minister remember the one who falsified a mortgage application with the Brittania BS "who got away with it". Oh i suppose it's one law for them & a different one for anyone else. I am not defending what i have done but i think some of the posts on here have been judgemental & spiteful, the average debt collection agency thug would be proud.0 -
Glad to see things are getting sorted.
Good luck xGone ... or have I?0 -

First of all you posted on here stating exactly what you had done, I think the problem most people including myself had with your original post is that you could have been honest when you were having trouble with repaying your lenders. You didn't need to do what you did. It is very frustrating to see someone admit they lied on their application to get extra money at a time when banks and buiding societies are increasing the cost of borrowing on credit cards. It is even more frustrating to see that if you were ever found out you say in the paragraph above that you will deny it. Honesty is the best policy. I am not being horrible, judgemental or anything else when I say that. I am just expressing my opinion. If you don't want to hear it, then you shouldn't have posted all the details on a public board.up_the_creek wrote:Whilst certain posters seem to have the mentality of the lynch mob i would just point out that i have not murdered anyone or mugged little little old ladies & i did not lead some lavish lifestyle. I agree, you have not murdered anyone, but you have still done something illegal. Nobody is saying that the government minister who did that should have got away with it. Perhaps if you came out and said, I totally regret what I did, and I know it was wrong, people who have been critical would have more sympathy for you.0 -
Hello
I have stated numerous times i have been stupid & done wrong & bitterly regret it. This is all i think about every minute. However, i am dammed if i am going down for it when i see the kind of "crimes" the average hooded thug gets away with.0 -
With all due respect you guys I thought this forum was somewhere where the desperate could post for non judgemental advice concerning any problems to do with debt.
Yes he has been stupid/ ill advised/desperate, and knowingly lied on some application forms - as he admits, to continue robbing Peter to pay Paul. By God I bet he is sorry now for even daring to admit this and worse still to write down his random thoughts as to how best effect a soloution that does not make his situation worse.
Maybe all new posts should not bother airing their laundry in case it offends someone - or better still only the whiter than white need apply otherwise the pain will not be worth the gain. Dont you all think that people beat themselves up enough before they even decide to seek any kind of outside help? You've been there, I've been there - we all know this.
I do not mean to be blanketly judgemental but this forum is famous for its impartiality,as demonstrated by the vast majority of this wonderful community - give the guy a break. (I can see now before my eyes the reply to that one!!!!!!)
I hope you find the soloution to your problem soon up the creek. If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb
