    Hi Pennies,

Huge congratulations on your new job, I will keep fingers crossed that you get a pay rise! The investment property and savings account all sounds very grown up ;).

Nice to see someone else as organised with Xmas as I am...I've been tucking bits away so I keep an eye on spending this year. How many days till Florida?

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • Hi Jody! Nice to 'see' you here! 310 days until Florida - still seems ages away but will start really getting organised for it after Xmas!

Need to focus on the savings really, waiting for payday next friday and then I can finish my Christmas shopping and concentrate on putting money in to the savings account! Can't believe Christmas is only 5 weeks and 2 days away!!!

Going to keep progressing with my make £5 a day challenges and 12k in 2012 (although our initial target is 6k towards a house deposit)

  • Got another £75 back that was due from a family member so have put that in to Savings 2, total is now £675 and I'm still due just over £300...

Nearly finished all the xmas shopping, will probably start wrapping it this week so that I know it's all done!

Dog's birthday tomorrow, can't believe she's 2 already, only seems a few months since we got her at 7 weeks old...

  • Wow I can't believe how long it's been since I updated this!

I've been in my new job for nearly 8 months now, totally love it, best decision I ever made and got a small pay rise back in June :D Due my 1 year appraisal at the beginning of December so here's hoping I can get another raise!

What else has been going on? Well we are going to London for the Olympics next week, I'm so excited to go! And Florida is now less than 2 months away, only 61 sleeps. not that I'm counting! haha :p

On the money front, I've been trying to keep up with the VSP although I've been that busy that I haven't actually been on here since December! We've been continuing with the save 6k in 2012 challenge though, as you'll see in my sig, this is all on track and doing quite well, it's for a deposit for a house so we'll be saving for a while!

In other news, my sister is having another baby, my niece is nearly 16 months and she has 2 weeks left until my second niece arrives, I'm excited but worried how she will cope

Still no proposal, a lot of people are hinting for London or Florida but I'm really trying not to think about it or get my hopes up!

Hopefully all you lovely lot are still around and I promise to try and update more often!

Yeah very happy just now, seems like everything is going well for once!

Honestly can't wait until London, it'll be heaving but it will be great to be able to say 'I was there!'

Is it wrong to mention that I've started my Christmas shopping already?!
