  • £9.50 in Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for me, have added them to my August challenge as I keep them all year and use them for Christmas presents!

Total for the challenge is now £70.04/£155 :) Halfway there and only the 11th of August, feel quite confident this month for some reason!

I'm waiting on a few transactions tracking from PayPal:
    £3 from p!nec0ne
    £5 from MySurvey
£3.23 from eBay sales (after fees and postage)

    So that's another £11.23 that I'll have shortly :)

Really need to get on track with savings, I've decided that any money made in the make £5 a day challenges will be added to Target 1, that way I'm adding to that fund without really realising if that makes sense?

Then I can start to focus on Target 2, as the way this year is flying in we will be going to Florida before I know it! Lol Need to get my but in gear although the total for that fund is including what I predict for park tickets and spending money too so if I don't quite reach the target then I'll just have less spending money!

Of course I don't plan not to reach my targets!

I'm sure you will reach your targets :D

  • I hope so Beccie, really hope to complete Target 1 by my deadline but that is going to take some work! I worked out that if I can complete £5 a day for the rest of the year (from tomorrow) then I'll have already found £710 of it and will only need a further £199.80 :)

On the other hand I might just start a countdown of the running total that I still need to find! Only £909.80 to go! That might spur me on actually, seeing the figure coming down, it worked with the debt busting after all!

I do think it's doable, especially with the VSP Challenge and £5 a Day Challenge too, the number just seems so big at the moment!

Hopefully I'll be updating both Targets at the end of the month as I really hope to have money left over this month :)

Definitely - hit it like it's debt and see the figure come down would be very motivational :)

Only on MSE would we get that! :D

  • Lol definitely!

£8.66 transferred for the VSP today, bringing the total in Target 1 to £2098.86 :)

Total left to find for Target 1 is £901.14

Will soon be under £900...so much more motivational seeing the numbers come down of what's still left to find!

Now to start budgeting for Target 2, I think I will need to be strict and put money in to it at the start of the month and then just be careful with my spending on take aways etc! :p Will start properly from next payday (2 weeks today!) although like I said yesterday I'm hoping to have money left over from this month's pay that can be transferred in there too...

  • £3 from p!nec0ne came in to account today, so total for £5 a day challenge is now £73.04

Still waiting on the following hitting my bank:
    £4.08 from crowdology
    £5.28 from eBay sales
    £3.23 from eBay sales
£5.00 from MySurvey - hasn't even come in to paypal yet so will be a while before it hits my bank!

    Total of £17.59 to follow...

Total remaining to save for Target 1 is £898.14

  • £3.23 from eBay sales (after fees etc) so total for £5 a day challenge is now £76.27, started sorting some stuff for a car boot sale with my mum last night so we might be doing that either this weekend or next...hopefully that will boost my total.

Total for Target 1 is now £2105.09 (£1835.09 if I don't count the money I leant my parents).

Total for Target 2 is still at £300 - will need to start adding to this more now!

Total savings still to find for Target 1 - £894.91
