Just wanted to say you are doing the right thing talking about it and it won't seem it now but in time you the pain will ease and the memories will make you smile.

My condolences to you - it's nothing short of awful.

Oh dear - how sad. Its so tough on the ones left behind when its so sudden, but at least she wasnt suffering too long.

I hope the pain goes away soon and you can start to think of all the fun things again. My beloved grandmother died whilst I was on holiday two years ago and although I still miss her she was an absolute character and I often find myself saying things in my head in her voice and when the family get together we always have a good old laugh at her old stories. I hope you can get to that point soon xxx
  • Well I guess I'm back, sorry I haven't been posting on everyone's diaries much, I have been reading but just thought I would be repeating what everyone else was saying.

So I've updated my signature since my savings target A is no longer needed, it was supposed to be for my Nana and Grandad's golden wedding anniversary party in March :( Ended up using some of the money I had aside for Target A and Target 2 for multiple trips down to Newcastle.

Have updated my savings totals, don't think they are doing too badly...

Just trying to get back on track now, saving for the future. We had to take my watch back to Goldsmiths last night because one of the stones has fallen out and while we were there OH was asking if I liked any of the rings....a girl can dream that he is closer to popping the question eh?!

    Hi Pennies,

Just read through bits of your diary - well done on your achievement of being debt free!!!! As you might see I am only just starting on this journey and I have £6000 to get through this year, but finding someone who has done it shows me that it is achievable!

Sorry to read about your nanna also, that must be hard.

Noticed that all your debt was your student loan - I haven't included mine in my total atm, so will probably be next goal after this debt, or may just leave it and start chipping away at the mortgage!

Anyway I'll be subscribing to your thread now and might pop in again soon x

  • Thanks guys, feeling a little bit like I'm stuck in a rut just now, can't be bothered doing anything and just want to curl up on the couch :o

Payday on Friday so will be able to transfer some more money in to my savings pots as I've been a good girl this month and not spent much...might actually make my % target for once :p

    Will update totals on Friday...
