Oh pennies - that's fantastic news! Well done you. Oh how I dream of being debt free... but that day will come!
Have a very happy and saving savvy 2011 :-)

Back to work today
OH doesn't go back until tomorrow
Have set my target for the % Challenge to 20% (£250) of my wages a month. Hoping that I can save a little more than that, but since I'm new to this saving thing I'll start slowly!
£50 sent to the ISA today, really hoping to meet each of my targets before the deadlines that I've set...Currently due £115 from my sister and £30 from my mum so they will both go straight in to the savings pots when they are given to me.
I've also set myself a weekly £10 for things like the work lottery, fitness classes etc, any change left over on a Friday will go in to a savings pot too.
Planning on going back to the Aqua Fit and starting Zumba classes...need to lose the weight before the wedding in August so better start now...currently weigh 168lbs so will aim to lose 28lbs...don't think that's too unachievable really...think we are going to get a Wii, so that with the fitness classes and walking the dog longer/more often should all helpVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
:j Sister has finally settled her debt to me and has repaid all that she was due for the car she bought off me! £100 was in my account this morning so have put that to the car insurance pot. Target 1 is looking a little healthier now
Really need to weigh myself and start getting on the fitness, been eating healthier and walking the dog longer but as it's TOTM it's not the best time to weigh myself...my pal put a photo of me on facebook last night and I looked so chubby, but only in 1 photo, the rest were good so I'm putting it down to bad angles and lightingalthough it did spur me on to get fitter quicker! Need to get my Wii but everywhere is out of stock just now
Forgot that I put £20 in to Target 2 the day before I set my % aim so I'm actually 5.6%/20%
Just waiting on a couple more direct debits coming out before I make a few more payments to savings, also got the dentist tomorrowVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Great news that your sister has now settled her debt with you
I was intending to walk the dog longer in the mornings, but it's so dark I can't bring myself to get up even 10 minutes earlier!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I used to take her out in the morning before work (admittedly when she was just a pup and 10 mins round the block was enough) but at the moment all of our paths are just sheets of ice and it takes far too long to navigate round them so I just take her out longer later in the day.
Yes it's great that she has repaid me, she only owes me £15 now for other things and my mum owes me £30 - plan to put that £45 in to target 2...
Next 2 months are council tax free so will probably put the money for that in the pots too and my birthday next month so might put any birthday money in the ISA (target 3).VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
I do 20 minutes with him every morning, if I could up that to 30 minutes along with doing my sit ups every night I wouldn't need to do anything else. Maybe I could start tomorrow....

We had sleet/snow last night - really don't want it anymore, the last lot hasn't really cleared yet, well the snow has gone but there is solid ice now instead
Find myself constantly thinking about saving now...VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
