    :j:j:j I'M DEBT FREE :j:j:j

Just phoned the loans company to see about getting a stop notice sent to my employer as I explained I was planning to clear my loan on 1st Jan and he asked did I want to pay it now?! 9 days early!

Just need to go through the formalities of getting the account officially closed which involves me posting out copies of my payslips as proof of salary deductions so that they can close it now and not have to wait for HMRC in April, May or June :D

So so so so happy :D Can really relax and enjoy Christmas now, bring on 2011, I will be a saver!

Well done on becoming debt free!!! That's a major achievement and you shouldn't try to play it down at all! It doesn't really matter the size of the debt, it's all about the effort and determination to clear it ;).

What Panto did you see? I am going with my daughter and mum tomorrow (I'll no doubt be snivelling and coughing!), thought it would be a good way to keep us occupied on Xmas eve :)

Wow...you can look forward to a debt free 2011 :j

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • Thanks Everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here much over the holidays, just wanted to relax and enjoy myself! :p

So I've updated my siggy, savings targets for 2011 revealed (sorry Jody for copying your format! :o)

Target 1 is to save up for my car insurance to pay it off in one go! Now last year my insurance was just over £500 so I'm being optimistic and am aiming for £600, hopefully I'll have some left over.

Target 2 is to save up for the hotel for my sister's wedding in August and also to buy a present for them...want to be prepared!

Target 3 is just my personal rainy day savings that I would like to have by the end of the year...my VSP goes in to this account as well. If I could save more than this I would be very happy!

I need to think of my aim for the % Challenge, will come back to that shortly...

I also have a target to lose some weight and get fit this year...will get on to that at some point! Need to look good in my bridesmaid dress :p Going to be not very MSE and buy a Wii and Wii Fit I think... :o

    Hope everyone has a fab 2011 :D
