Not sure Woo, in with his P45 was a note to say that he should phone the office on the 6th of december to see if there are any positions available, but seeing as they laid 2 people off last week it doesn't seem likely.
He's been hired out on contract to the local oil firm for the last 18 months and they have expressed an interest in him staying with them.
Alternatively his boss knows of an agency offering work in Aberdeen for £900 a week...means commuting but may be worth looking at.
A little bit of good news, OH received a cheque today for £150 for passing his examsVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -

The £150 must of been a nice surprise this morning
Sounds like there are a couple of options open to him, really hope you can work something out quickly - it is a massive worry xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Yeah hopefully, he doesn't seem to down about it at the moment, I guess he just kind of figured this was always a possibility...he still had a weeks holiday to take too, so the pay for that will be a nice buffer until he finds something, guess all the overtime he did last weekend came at the right time!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

Awesome pics there hun! No snow for us down south yet, just a lot of frost
.
Sorry to hear about your OH, I have all everything crossed that he can find something else soon! As they say, one door closes and another will surely open
How lovely of your FIL to offer to buy the TV :T, we don't have one in our bedroom, I kinda think bedrooms are for sleeping in (oh and other stuff of course :rotfl:). Do you have a date for your sister to give you some more car money?
And super YAY to the loan balance, it's coming down really quickly
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Thanks hun, only problem is she doesn't like to sit still to get her photo taken!
She got paid yesterday, but gets paid by cheque (I mean who still does that?!) so I need to wait for her cheque to clear...next week sometime?
Yes it is very generous of FIL and MIL to get us a TV for Christmas, we like the TV in the room, means we can watch DVDs in bed late at night or if the football is on OH can be booted upstairsVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Well we are snowed in today, MASSIVE snow storm at 5am this morning, thunder and lightening...it actually shook the house it was that loud. Had to send OH downstairs to bring the dog up to the room because she was so scared and didn't know what was happening.
So far the snow is level with the car bumpers, and the first step oustide the front door and the weather just said that we can expect up to 25cm of snow :eek: Not looking like I'll be at work tomorrow since we can't get the cars out the drive and most of the buses aren't running...
Apparently it won't stop snowing here until Friday :eek::eek::eek:VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
