  • Will need to speak to sister about it...

I'm not too fussed, I quite fancy getting the new black one :p But OH can get quite involved in these things and thinks I would just be gifting it to my sister...I know it isn't anything to do with him but he is entitled to his opinion :o

I may sit my sister down in a few weeks and say we have 3 options:

    1. You give me £100 and you keep the Wii (& all Wii Fit, games etc)
    2. I give you £100 and I keep the Wii (& all Wii Fit, games etc)
    3. Neither of us take it and we gift it to mum and dad

She will go for option 3 more than likely as this is what she has kind of said already. The Wii does get used for family get togethers, parties etc.

My kids have a wii each and never, ever play it - was going to put it on ebay but her BF suddenly decided he wanted it after all - but he wont play it any more than we will! Its been used about 3 times I reckon - what a total waste!
  • Wages have gone in a day early! :j:j:j

That's an automatic £26 off the loan, plus I had £40 left in my account before today's wages went in so I am putting that to the loan too! So £66 to the loan today, have now paid 55%, on the downhill slope now :j

Feels really good to be making headway, since I only have 36 days I have to!

Still waiting on expenses clearing in my account, should be the next few days, another £32 for the loan...

  • Meant to say we had snow last night :j

This is the first time the pup has seen snow and I think we are going to have problems! She loves it, doesn't want to come in to the house, I had to bribe her in this morning with a treat and then when she was in she just sat at the door looking through the glass to the garden longingly...cue puppy dog eyes and me opening the door to let her back out to play :rotfl:

She was actually eating the snow :p and tossing clumps of snow in the air and then jumping up to hit them with her paw! :p

Very entertaining though, have taken some photos and videos, might pop some up after work!

  • Didn't get a chance to download the photos off the camera last night as we had puppy classes to go to and then went to visit OH's uncle who is just out of hospital after an operation. Will try to do it today, although it's my Mum's birthday so will be out most of the night!

Added £10 worth of £2 coins to the tin last night, really want to see how much is in there now :o We wanted to wait until it was full but I think that would take forever since we're only putting £2 coins in it!

Going to count up all our spare change over the weekend, then look at bagging it up and taking it to the bank.

I think from the new year I am going to make sure I have money for in my purse, I'm terrible at not having much money in my purse and just bunging things on the debit card. I was thinking of having a weekly (mon-fri) spend for things like the work lottery, puppy classes etc and then the change to go in a pot every friday, could be an easy way to save extra...probably £10 and it is only for personal spends.

OH and I are going to start both putting money in a pot a the beginning of the month for the food shopping, at the moment we just take it in turns to pay for the food, so thought this might work better, will try it and see how it works anyway.

Sorry for the long ramblings! Been doing a lot of money thinking lately! :p

    Morning Pennies

Setting yourself a weekly spend and also putting the shopping money away at the begining of the month is a very good idea :)

  • Thanks Woo.

Well for one because me and OH just take turns to pay we don't actually know how much we spend on the food shopping! :o Still trying to decide an amount as the pot will cover the food shopping (including all cleaning/home bits), dog food and electric (we have a meter in the house but usually only use £40 a month, not sure if that is good or not?!)

My spends as I mentioned will only be Mon - Fri as they will be office/personal spends. I know I will spend roughly £6 as our lottery is £1.35 a week, puppy classes are £2 and we have an office tradition that Friday is Pie & Cakes Day, however we are all trying to be healthy so it's usually Healthy Roll & Occasional Cake Day :p Usually £2.50 for that...

If we have the spend pot for the shopping it will stop me using my spend money for the bread and milk!

That's the plan, sounds good in theory anyway! :rotfl:
