I do really feel for you, it's so unfair and yet your left trying to manage everyones feelings to save arguments, when she is simply in the wrong xxLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

So 136 days until I'm debt free and no loan payments made for 5 days
Oustanding balance is £571.51, that's £4.20 a day then...
Sister mentioned transferring money on Saturday but still no sign of anything...suprise suprise.
It's so hard debt-busting when Christmas is just around the corner and you need to seriously think about buying presents...really don't want to fall off the wagon though.
Currently got £32 on an expenses claim, will be submitting that this week in time for pay day next Friday...blimey, where did November go?!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
November not going fast enough for me pennies - I need my pay check!0

Saying that it is still a week on Friday! Just feels weird being in the middle of November already!
I'm tight this month too EB, more due to Christmas shopping than paying my debts thoughVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Still no money from sister, 135 days to go!
On the plus side, just met the threshold for another £10 to paypal on Lightspeed, so that will be winging it's way to the loan once it comes through.
Also just handed in an expenses form at work, another £32 for the loan once it's paid...VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Slowly slowly catchy monkey, pennies :0)0

Hi Pennies, glad to see you are keeping up the good work. Are you going to use your £2 pot towards it in the end? That's a massive chunk you've got saved there if so :-)0

Hey everyone, sorry not been around for a few days, was off work Thursday and Friday since we had family over from Saudi Arabia for a visit.
Back to work today though
Not sure about the £2 pot MustStopSpending, OH wants to put it towards a new TV for the bedroom.
Bit upset this morning, need some perspective from you ladies please.
Sister has just been approved for a £8000 loan, has phoned me this morning to say she has traded in the car (the one she hasn't paid for yet) and is getting a new car on Wednesday.
Her £8000 is planned for the car, the wedding, new house and the baby. Am I unreasonable in asking for my outstanding £300 when she has already told me that their new car and insurance came in £500 under what they had budgeted? I haven't asked yet by the way...VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Not at all, you have been more than reasonable so far!
I'm sorry, I know she's your sister, but I would be so mad, I'd be on the phone straight away telling her to get a grip and pay up!
She's got a cheek phoning you up to tell you all about her loan and the money she's saved on the car etc knowing that she still owes you! :mad:Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
To be honest I've been more upset than mad, been in tears several times over the whole thing.
I feel like I shouldn't have to ask for it, if it were me I would be giving her the money as soon as the loan was approved. But we're obviously two very different people right now.
I just want it over and done with now, I spoke to my mum and she said that I should just ask since she mentioned that she came in under budget.
There's a part of me that is getting excited at the thought of £300 going off the loan, but I know better than to get my hopes upVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0
