I know! OH didn't get the fuss, he was like '£55.47 ' and I just said 'well you can pay £55.47 all in or pay £125 plus delivery at full price' - that shut him up! :rotfl:
And they are genuine, he thought that was fakes at that price! Lol MEN!
I actually can't wait to get over 50% paid, will feel like I've really achieved something!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -

Christmas is coming, got the spending bug, not for myself though, on all these presents!
I suppose it's good that I've been getting stuff off the grabbit board when I see it, mostly stuff for OH's little brother mind you! There's loads of stuff suitable for a 7 year old on there!
Just managed to get him a Toy Story 3 Hoodie, Cap and DVD set for £5.59Hopefully the order will be honoured and it's not just a mistake that they aren't actually selling...Also got stuff for the pup for Christmas, 50% off online orders at Pets At Home and FREE Delivery :T
OH will go mad!Only spent £12.94 though :j

I've got a few good bargains off grabbit lately, including my lovely Uggs which just got delivered to my work! :j
Have to put them away for Christmas though, boo
So it is another Friday, still no payment from my sister...am I justified in being !!!!ed off that she spent £150 in boots on Christmas presents last night but still hasn't even mentioned my money?VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Boo at having to put the boots away.
And I think your justified in being more than peed off at that!
Have you tried emailing her or something so you can explain it better if talking in person isn't working?Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
It's so tricky, the problems being that a couple of times that I've mentioned it she has already done the transfer but it's taken a couple of days to go in to my account so when I've brought it up she's thrown a mega strop because she's already done it
Or I'm just nagging her, or she'll do it when she can, or she's a bit hard up at the moment (really?!) or she's just being a pain in the bum! I would expect it off a younger sibling but she is older than me and I thought more savvy with money and thoughtful about others.
Obviously not, seems she's just tied up in her world just now.
Answers on a postcard please, every option I've tried blows back in my face and results in a big argument and usually with my mum rather than her...VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
If it were me and talking face to face has failed I would write an email or letter, explaining that you know sometimes she has already transferred the money but on many occasions she hasn't which is why you follow it up.
I'd explain it all the way you have on here, how it's made you feel, and why you need the money. Tell her you don't want to fall out with her but the situation isn't working out for either of you.
Tell her your happy she's getting married and having a baby and that you understand that these things cost money but that she undertook these things knowing that she owed you money and that she has to balance her priorities.
If she lost her job unexpectedly and you were chasing her for money then that would be different, getting married is somethings she's chosen to do.
It sounds like your right, she's involved in her own world and hasn't thought how it might affect you.
Then I would (politely!) tell your Mum that the issue is between you and your sister and that you'd rather deal with it with her as you don't want to fall out with your Mum over and argument that you don't need to have.
Hope that helps!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Remember if it was the bank she owed money to then they would not be sympathetic or understanding, they would be saying you owe us the amount borrowed, plus hideous amounts of interest, plus charges for paying late!
She shouldn't take advantage of the fact that it's you she owes money not the bank.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
All sounds good, however it's usually through telling my mum that I get anywhere at all!
It's such a headache...just feel so down and fed up about it all, wish she could just win the lottery and pay me. Imagine if I was charging her interest?!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0
