Thanks, I've made a pledge that any expenses money I get will be paid against the loan, I'm lucky in that the money I get back for mileage is well more than I put out so in a sense its not leaving me out of pocket.
Hopefully sister will be making a car payment to me soon, that will be going to the loan too! Another £50 hopefully :jVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -

:j:j:j:j Sub £600 :j:j:j:j
Paypal transfer of £10 from surveys was through this morning so went to pay it of my loan, decided to add an extra £10 on though to take me under £600.
So another £20 off the loan, only £596.14 left to pay, 45% of the way there, feel like once I get over 50% it'll seem much easierVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Having one of those days today...
Can't concentrate on my work, feeling a bit under the weather, got a sore throat coming on (thanks OH!) and just can't stop thinking about how quickly I can get this loan down...
I really wish I could PAD it but when the minimum payment I can make to the loan is £5 it isn't realistic, especially with Christmas just around the corner, 7 weeks on Sat
Another part of me keeps thinking that if only my sister gave me the £300 she owes me then I would nearly be free! But that's unrealistic tooAnd then I hear her talking about taking a large loan to cover moving house, a baby and a wedding and I feel like screaming at her...

Well done on being sub £600
I can't understand your frustration with your sister, it's not fair.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Oh dear pennies.
I know it sounds harsh but if your sis is taking big loans out to cover everything she ought to remember that you are a creditor too! I really think you ought to mention it to her - simply say "any idea when that money is coming my way, things really tight just now". If it were me I would be more embarrassed about owing money to family than banks - I know that's silly in a way because of interest etc etc but I would feel morally bound to pay family debts first in a way. And frankly its not fair you should suffer - if she is taking out big loands perhaps she ought to add £300 more on top and pay you off!0 -
Well she says there is a payment coming my way at the end of this week and as much as I really want to believe it will be there, I can't hold my breath. There's been a few too many times when 'somethings popped up' or she 'hasn't been paid on time' and I can't think about it until the money is in my account.
Sometimes she will willingly dicuss the money she is due me and others she just disregards it completely!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
I'm confused
Just logged in to my student loan account and it says that I only have £546.17 left to pay...that's an extra £50 been deducted that I haven't paid...well I don't think I have paid it, whenever I make a payment the balance updates instantly so my figures are always correct...
Think I will need to keep an eye on it, either I've miscalculated my figures or it's deducted the £50 I paid on the 1st November twice
Any ideas?VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0
