  • I'm 38, was a bit overdrawn at college, but then was never in debt until 2 years ago....It got to more than £5000 and that was my lightbulb, I am really impressed with how many financially aware 20 somethings there are here, I assumed most people were older....
  • I'm 33 - didn't get into debt til I was 25+ and a mum - hubby is 42. We had 1st lightbulb 3.5 yrs ago and went with B&E - now we are proper adults and dont wanna be charged!!

I'm 22, had my lightbulb moment when I was 21 and found this site around the same time :) Thankfully I was only at about £1500 debt at the time.... sensitive lightbulb ;) ..... and I'm debt free now apart from my student loan  :D

This is an interesting thread - I thought most people were much older than me but the average seems to be around mid to late 20s, perhaps a bit older.

Leni, if you click on "thread tools" at the top right of the page there should be an option to "add a poll to this thread".... if you want to that is! I think you're the only one who can do it cos its your thread :)

  • I'm 25 too! I think it's great that there are lots of people in their twenties here.

My LBM was only a few weeks ago...I've got approx £2k on a flexi loan, £700 overdraft. That's £2.7k!!

Am not counting student loans (under & postgrad) or else I'll panic!
Do or do not. There is no try. (Yoda!)
