I'm 42 too, and also spent the whole year I was 41 thinking I was 42, so that's pretty weird eh ... moreover we've both got bird avatars, pounds and pensive, that's weird too. In my case I think it's a classic case of the old "birdbrain" not really working, but I'd never say that about you!0 -

Am 29 and will be 30 in April. Would love to be debt free by the time i hit the big 3-0 but I think 26K in six months is a tad unrealistic! :rotfl:
I shall satisfy myself with being debt free just before my 33rd birthday which will be the remains of my HSBC loan that is fixed until then :rolleyes:Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

I'm 37. Dealing with debts that go back about 10 years - but I had problems before that and was fortunate to have family who helped out - want to do it myself this time - I think that's the only way I'll learn
Am starting to worry now about my daughter who will be 18 next year. I don't want her to end up in the same position as me but she spends money the minute she gets it - oh well - I can only advise.
