  • I would suggest that if there are some things on the list that you fancy, you could take a few ideas to your doctor and talk it over with him/her or ask if there is any way you can speak to a dietician to help with your condition?

Lentils and pulses are high in iron and soluble fibre and combined with wholegrains such as wholemeal bread, pasta or rice, form complete proteins. The iron is more easily absorbed if you eat them with something with plenty of vitamin C like a glass of orange juice.

However, how the affect different medical conditions is not something I know about and Martin has asked that we don't try to give medical advice on the site.

I hope you find something that you enjoy and that you can eat comfortably.

Totally agree chipotles are gorgeous we had chipotle and roasted garlic pasta last night and it was lovely. I got hold of the sauce from Home Bargains for 29p. It adds real depth (or something) to sauces!

OMG - Where's my nearest store? Sounds lovely!

I'm afraid I couldnt eat a diet without meat in it. I was a veggie for 11 years and became so ill I had to start eating meat again. But theres some good ideas in this thread. Thanks GR.
