Sorry for being nosey:o At that age they are plenty old enough to realise you have a life as well. I thought you were going to say they were really young.
In that case I would go for it and show him what normal life is for you. If your house is anything like mine if he can cope with that he can cope with anything;)

Toots Will you please take it steady? I'm concerned about the amount of furniture-moving you're doing.
I could go up there *points* sat evening or he could come here with the intention of evening out followed by day out in the country wherever we kip IYSWIM. He has offered to sleep on the sofa (not a cat's chance, it's new and it's leather and it is NOT a bed though I haven't said that) I have, however a flop-down Ikea special. He doesn't want me to 'get rid of the kids' (I'm paraphrasing) nor does he want to shove it in their faces IYSWIM
I'm reeling with indecision...(totally typical Libra - given TWO choices I cannot commit either way)
any thoughts Flymates?
*sits back and waits for onslaught*
Valli I'm going to give a little of my experiences; please feel free to tell me to go and bury myself in the Dungeon Dimension.:ohe has been here when the kids were out...
only known him a month (well just over)
However their dad has done sterling work in the sleeping with dept ...he's lived with two since we split;) but the kids live with me...
Firstly, though, with Mr LW and me, children were not a part of the equation, so I can't help with that aspect. As for the rest.....
I first met Mr LW January 2nd 2002, when I joined the Dungeons & Dragons group I found through joining Mensa. It was clear to everyone except us that we liked each other.... a lot. We're both very shy people, and neither of us would have "made a move" IYSWIM except for what happened next.
That was..... the D&D host, C, had a wine tasting evening at his house, and invited us both (Mr LW was a regular at these; it was my first one ever, and C positively insisted that I attend). That was on 3rd May 2002.
I gave Mr LW a lift home after, and he asked me in for coffee (as I thought, to make sure I was OK to drive home). At that point, I think we attained the position you're in now (if that's the right way to put it.):o
Long story short, we saw each other as often as possible, til I went away for a week to Skye (pre-booked holiday, trying to sort out my 'orrible life).
I returned from this on 25th May 2002. I moved in with Mr LW 27th May 2002, and we haven't looked back.
So.... first ever setting eyes on each other to moving into his place.... just under 5 months.
The other thing I wanted to say was that if I have a tough decision, I toss a coin. Literally. If I'm disappointed by the result of the toss, I know then what my heart really wanted to do. If there are more than 2 options, I use a 6-sided die, or whatever die is appropriate. (In D&D we have 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 20 sided dice).
Whatever happens, I wish you all the very best, and much happiness.:o
Now I'd better return to the bathroom before I get a fluffy mule chucked at me.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Friday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One
Clear and clean the floors in these rooms
Air the rooms.. Clean the radiators in these rooms
Valli FWIW I think I would go there. Only you know, though, whether you think this is a long term thing. I'm not sure you lose anything by waiting a while before bringing him home with the kids there, but you may lose something by doing it too early?
I'm rubbish at this stuff though, so feel free to ignore me.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Afternoon all,

Toots will you be careful moving furniture.
I did a Mystery shop that took almost 2hrs this morning. I also took stuff back to various shops that didn't fit etc gaining £24.97 back on my card. I popped in to see nev for 10 mins and then picked Ds2 up from nursery. We've had lunch and i've inputted the results for the MS. This is exactly why I have asked you all! TY
