off to drop off suit
go to JJB aargh
pick up DS's GF
decisions decisions
I could go up there *points* sat evening or he could come here with the intention of evening out followed by day out in the country wherever we kip IYSWIM. He has offered to sleep on the sofa (not a cat's chance, it's new and it's leather and it is NOT a bed though I haven't said that) I have, however a flop-down Ikea special. He doesn't want me to 'get rid of the kids' (I'm paraphrasing) nor does he want to shove it in their faces IYSWIM
I'm reeling with indecision...(totally typical Libra - given TWO choices I cannot commit either way)
any thoughts Flymates?

If it was me Valli I would take the bull by the horns and let him come down to you for a change
It will be nice for him to see you in your own surroundings doing "normal" things - are there such things as normal in valliland..lol
Ok off to join the others in the HHC as I seriously need to get a shower as I am all smelly due to going back to bed after my early post, and no-one being around for me to talk to. So I fell asleep until 11ish and then woke up not smelling very dewy and feeling all dehydrated. I'm all rehydrated now and my friend T has phoned me to ask "Where am I?" so I have to go to her after my shower.. mmmm freee lunch...lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Afternoon all
One load of washing already dry and put away, it's really warming up now.
Dog had her haircut at 8am and she looks lovely again, but she's very tired now.
I cut the back grass, it had barely grown except for odd long bits so I've just tidied it round. The front is OK.
Not much else done, I've done all the rooms through the week, I just did some tidying round of kitchen drawers/cupboards and tested all the batteries to see which ones still work and chucked the rest. We seem to need a new bulb for the rechargeable torch but I've found another torch that works for now (I like to have one to hand in the kitchen just in case we get a power cut).0 -
he has been here when the kids were out...
only known him a month (well just over)
However their dad has done sterling work in the sleeping with dept ...he's lived with two since we split;) but the kids live with me...
Love your analogy BTW :rotfl: very apt!
I know it's not flying but I need some opinions...:o:o:o:o
oh it IS Flying

Valli... speak to the chillies and see how they feel.. would they be comfortable knowing you do rude things? They surely do not expect you to be single forever and ever.. but they can get a bit possessive.. and it is on their turf as it were.. TBH I would just do whatever I thought was best.. It isn't like you have a different guy round every weekend is it? Have they met him before? I'd be a bit wary of their first meeting being in your bed..
.. I am sure they will be fine.. and as for the sofa.. *rolls eyes* get a grip woman.. you cannot invite him to stay over and expect him to stay on the sofa or you to stay in your room.. just get it on..
And ask your children where the family planning clinic is.. they don't want to hear any pitter-patters.. heehee LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Got loads done in my HHC
DW loaded and on.
DS bedding out of machine and on line.
Weetabix cake in oven for school summer fair. (Thanks to zippychick for pointing me in the right direction I've always bought them from Tesco:o)
Bathroom cleaned (First time with stardrops and it's fab)
I feel almost like a proper flylady:rotfl:
Valli I know I'm new and you don't know me but I've got a big mouth (got my foot in it a lot of the time too:o)
A month isn't really a long time. Do the kids know about him and how old are they? How serious is it?
Or alternatively tell me to sod off and mind my own business:oYou learn to love to liveYou fight and you forgiveYou face the darkest nightJust live before you die0 -
well I have already done a bit of work with DS in that dept - we were watching that sex ed thing on C4 (his choice) and I asked him what he thought I would be wanting out of a relationship and told him what I don't want/need (ie already have kids/home/car etc so not after that). He is fine about it - 'as long as we don't make any noise'
.
But (as always IMO) sound advice there.
LTL I have 'known' him a bit longer really - the IRL thing is a month. They are 14 DD and 16 DS. I know it's not a 'long' time...but if we can't sort it the distance between us will develop into a problem.
This is exactly why I have asked you all! TY
The sofa was what he offered to do - rather than shove it in their faces. He doesn't know there is no way I would allow anyone to sleep on a sofa! And CERTAINLY not my brand new not yet paid for ones!
And family planning is sorted
This will be the FIRST EVER partner brought home

valli I am with piggers - ask the kids - after all it is their home too. but I would go with him being at yours and just taking things as they come - nice relaxing weekend.
in my HHc ......
I moved the recliner ...again
I moved the bookcase ....again
I moved the writing table to where the bookcasw was
I moved a sofa to where the writing table was
I moved the bookcase to another corner
I moved gibble out of the way!!
discovered the wiring on the recliner is gubbed at the handset so not sure if that will be fixable
and had a drink!
I think its beginning to take shape - only another 2/3 moves to try/finish and then re-hoover/dust/tidy etc
lunch next and then back to carry on
well done longterm!!!!
