  • Decluttered bass practice again. Getting to be part of the routine now.

Went off to get bits for DD2's Iago the Parrot costume for Aladdin next week. Have two carrier bags of assorted feathers from the school art department and a cheery 'Good Luck!' from them.

Consoled myself with two nail varnishes from the town Goth Shop.

Looked in pawn shop at the basses there (trying to save a bit of cash) and immediately decided against it - without getting too techie, the one I looked at appeared nice, but was so badly set up you could get your hand between the strings and the fretboard! So felt a bit down and went to get some shopping, scrabbling for my last ten pence to pay the bill.

Struggled in as the phone rang.

    [Hello?]

    Is that Ms Tighfisted?

    [Yes]

This is Mrs H from the Child Support Agency. As you know, we've been in contact with your ex partner for some years now.

    [Yes?]

Well, we've carried out some further checks and I'm pleased to tell you that I have credited your bank account with a final sum in respect of your share of unpaid maintenance from Mr KH1 for the period leading up until your DD1 left home.

    [Really? That's nice...How much?]

    ...

X Thousand, six hundred and fifty four pounds and 79 pence.

    ...

    ...

    [thud]

    ...

    ...

    Hello? Ms Tighfisted?

    [choke...Thank you!]

    **********************

    So - have happily cleaned kitchen, S&Sd bathroom, going to push vacuum cleaner around after a coffee (might even switch it on :D), will still force DD2 (who will be the beneficiary of this, but I'm not telling her) to clean her Pit of Doom, including her triple floordrobe, but will also add to the rest of the week's jobs;

Work out how to spend lump sum in the most enjoyable manner. Car? Holiday? Bass? [no need for ? - there WILL be a bass bought]...bills are all decluttered already.

    Thats brillant news JoJo.:j:j:j:j:j:j

I've done very little since, posted and ebay parcel. Sorted through post. My MIL knows the owners of 2 nursing home and my sister does that type of work so MIL is going to put a word in on both. There both looking for people so hopefully the job hunt will end soon.:D

Loads more washing done and loads more to do...
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Hi all
Well, a fairly easy one for me, Flying-wise (cheers Piggers:beer:), which is good, as I also had to make a carrot'n'orange cake.

Thought it was going to rain earlier, but it didn't, so I was able to dry this morning's load of washing outdoors.

Ulcers must be inproving – I seem to be able to keep the plate in the whole time now (touch wood!!) but I just found out the hard way that I still need to cut grapes in half to eat them – still hurts too much to bite through the skin. Mr LW has been despatched to Superdrug in Letchworth this lunchtime for TCP, as we've run out through me dousing the little perishers in it. (The ulcers, not the grapes, before anyone asks!!):p
Mushroom risotto for dins tonight, so that should be reasonably easy to eat.:o

Hex Metalman is great – what a talented DH you have!:T

Toots sorry to hear about the infection – I hope it clears up quickly for you. Oh, and I love the puppies!:o

Valli:rotfl: at “long-handled wedding tool”. Funnily enough, I do know what one of those is....;)

Natty I'm not sure who Jeremy Kyle is, but I don't think I'd want to know about his underpants or lack thereof at any time of day! Very best of luck with your therapy, btw. I have to admit, anything involving attending a group would have me under the table, shaking and whimpering!:eek: I do hope it goes well for you, and that you get mega-benefits from it.

Cyclingyorkie aww, so sorry to hear OH's Dad's diagnosis. Healing vibes for all of you.

FFP sorry to hear FiL must have more tests. More healing vibes on way.

Jojo congratulations on getting the money KH1 owed you. I bet you're well pleased!:T

((((HUGS)))) and posi-vibes where needed; apologies if I've missed anyone I should've mentioned. :o

Think I might see if I can declutter a few more calories on the Wii before I need to start scaring up dins.:)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
