Hope you don't mind if I share a bit of my drama with you.
The only flying I did yesterday was decluttering the front of the garage at my parents house and probably lots of ££££s. Totally demolished it in fact, and no idea what happened really as I was parking up, then just lurched the car forward and bam, one dented centre column of garage, which half an hour later then collapsed as it was clearly too heavy not being supported fully from beneath and this pulled the lintels down with it with the main beam only held up because one of the lintels had fallen at an angle and propped it up. Insurance people said they couldn't send anyone out til today, so had a rather sleepless night in my pre-marital bed staying at the house with my sister in case anything further went wrong (parents are away and I'd come round to look after my sister a bit while they're away) and praying it wouldn't collapse even more and wouldn't wipe out 3 cars (2 in the garage and mine under the column). Thankfully people are here now propping the lintel and my car has been extricated and the others don't look too bad.
I guess the main thing is I am fine (if feeling quite shaken up, tired out from no sleep (1st accident in 11 yrs of driving) and rather stupid, particularly not knowing what I did to end up in that mess) and noone else was injured either.
I was on here reading at about 1am because I couldn't sleep but quite a lot of posts from yesterday have slipped my mind I'm afraid. So, sorry for posting my drama without catching up properly with everyone elses. I have read todays posts aas part of my calming down efforts and seen lots of other peoples posts that put mine into perspective as well and big hugs to lots of people out there, especially FFP, CY, Natty, LL, Toots and LW, and anyone else poorly, with poorly relatives, or other bad news, or just generally in need of them.
Let's hope the rest of the week brings better things.
Now I'm feeling a bit better I may do some flying and tidy up here at my parents house as loads of stuff has just been dumped all around. More tea first though I think.

Fabulous news Jojo! Really pleased for you.:j:j:j

List updated on previous post. Making Jamie Oliver fish pie for tea so best get cracking. Mash has defrosted from the freezer, just need to get on with the rest and I'll do a bit of vacuuming while it cooks.

DH is working late...not sure if it's to get out of sweeping and mopping the kitchen and hall that he's been promising to do since Monday. Looks like I'll have to do it myself. Had to sort out Mum and Dad to babysit while I go to the school meeting so I'm glad I did a tidy up in the lounge. It's not looking too bad with the exception of the pile of ironing on the armchair.

    Best get tea on.

eta: Saverj....glad you've calmed down a bit now. Not surprised you were shaken up...think I'd have been in floods of tears. You're absolutely right though...the main thing is that you're fine, and everybody else is too. Garages, cars and suchlike can be replaced. Even if you could deal without the hassle of having to sort it out at least you're still here and in one piece. Sending you hugs anyway!

 I have been MIA for weeks.
We have had no internet for what seems like ages so I have a shiny new provider today:)

I have also got a shiny clean house as I have had no extra distractions and have been able to get the boys into action. Each day I have imagined what piggers would be recommending on her list.

I hope everyone is keeping well.

saver-J you poor thing - I think you are being very calm - i would be a wreck! accidents happen in the twinkling of an eye honey but the main things that no-one was injured - the insurances will sort it all out - but your parents may not let you house sit again!!!!!!! It was a bit extreme if that's what you were aiming for:D seriously I hope you are feeling a bit calmer now that the insurance people etc have been.

Oh, SaverJ, (and I never say things like this) Poor You!

Sounds like you meant to have your foot on the brake as you brought the clutch up, but missed it/hit the accelerator instead as you brought it up a bit too sharpish. (spot the person taking driving lessons, so is familiar with what it takes to do stuff like this :))

    1. At least you are fine.
    2. Only half the garage fell down.
    3. It isn't on camera, so no seeing it on 'You've Been Framed' every Christmas for the next 15 years.
    4. That's what insurance is for.

Piggers, I am already expecting the visit. 'Mummm-eeee, Iii needs an ickle favour...' (and I HATE baby talk, but she does it all the time ).

Either that or the 'You've just taken my University fund away from me! Give it back!'.

She will get (depending on my mood) either

    1. Not my fault, the government have taken it all, not me.
    2. Well, if your father had a) paid the money in the first place or b) not ignored them for the last 7 years, I would have had and spent the money on you years ago and he wouldn't have had to stump up so much in one go.

I'm going with the deny all knowledge line at the moment.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Saver-j Big (((HUGS))) wow, what a shock to the system! Main thing is that no-one was injured; keep taking deep breaths and have another cup of tea.

Poohbear great to see you back online. You keep those men-folk busy now, y'hear?:D

OH has just had a few minutes of sorting out in the garage so there'll be atleast a bin bag full to throw away. Even my plants have had a clean.....a spray with soapy water to try to kill the white fly.

I'm pooped now but feel better for doing it.
