  • mecoconuts,
It's actually getting to a shop which is a problem for me. Hence using the internet is a great option. I managed to get one delivered within a week and sold on to a friend but a second friend needed one for a trip abroad this week. Unless it arrives later today then they are going to be disappointed.
...and then the window licker said to me...

Southampton had them in stock today, but at the new price. At which price I'm not interested for a spare phone, although having had one for quite a while I've always found it a good basic phone if you don't need the bells and whistles of cameras etc. I suspect it does a good deal more than I'm interested in!
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • I was in the Centre at Milton Keynes yesterday and the Nokia Shop (near John Lewis?) were selling the 3510i on Orange for £19.95. Knowing that it can be easily unlocked, I couldn't help a rueful smile as I saw the price on Vodaphone and Tmobile. ;)

I got this phone just over 2 weeks ago. On Saturday lunchtime the OK button randomly stopped working. Couldnt do anything like getting to the menu or reading my texts. Was a right pain! Can't believe the functionality on a phone can depend on 1 button.

Took it back to the shop and they said they woul replace it if they had stock. As they didn't I got a refund. Am now back to my trusty 3310. LOL!

Probably a one off but thought I would share...

Should have taken it to a Nokia Service Centre (!!!!!! if your not close to one), they would have either repaired it for you or replaced it if it wasn't repairable all for free.

I've taken many a Nokia phone to a service centre, you don't need any reciepts, etc just the phone. They will scan the bar code on the phone (under the battery) to check it's still in the warrantee period (some tend to be 12 months others 18) then do a quick check for water damage. if it's in warrantte and no water damage they will then give you a receipt and a estimated date on when it will be ready for pick up.

Check the Nokia website for details of Nokia Service Centres.

    By the way...Izzy...good find :)
