ordered 3510i last week(w/e 4th Feb), quoted 2-5 working days. Received email on 5th Feb saying delivery would be 2 working days.
Have phoned twice during the week and delivery is lost within their system. Only option offered is wait or cancel order.

Im having trouble getting these things in the north east
That's 'cos they're all in the South West! :) Monster Holdings says he got two at Cribbs, and I've been into the Galleries this morning and they say they had 100 at start of week and are now down to 50.

I rang the local orange shop today who told me they hadnt got any left but the gateshead store did, by the time I got there they had totally sold out.

phones 4 u are doing the same deal for £19.95 but with no trade in.

I then went to carphonewarehouse who said they would price match any deal but didnt have the stock in - they then told me of another branch who had the stock in but - they would do it for £19.95 but would not do the trade in.
What a pain. But thanks for the tip about other possible sources: I've done a trade-in this morning but my son is also in need, prepared to pay the £20 if we can't get it somewhere with a trade-in.

  • I have ordered the Nokia 3510 online from Orange, after being quoted £20 to unlock my current Siemens A55.

I told them I had been a customer of theirs for 5 years. Made no difference. Just a number in their system, and the chance for more profit.

When I receive the phone, do I have to register it with Orange first before unlocking it?

No, when I got mine they registered the SIM with me but the phone was not touched. I did not use the PAYG SIM I got it home and tried my Orange contract SIM worked fine. Then unlocked it and tried an old O2 Sim from work. Worked fine.

I'm interested in getting one of these for my son, but the Orange Shops near me all seem to have sold out. Anyone know of any available in the East London area?
